View Full Version : Martial Arts Cycle
Hey Everyone,
This will be my first cycle, so sorry for any obvious questions- any advice is appreciated. I am 32, 5'9", 185, with about 18% BF. My diet is decent right now- about 75%, but I dont have much trouble cleaning it up when I need to.
I want to get as strong and light as possible for boxing, Thai boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. After doing tons of research I think I have decided on two cycles- first, a month of clen alternating with ECA (2 weeks/2 weeks) in order to lose fat. My question about this is whether or not I should add T3 into the cycle, maxing out at 50 mg for the month. It seems that this will cause some muscle loss, but I am OK with a little of this if it improves lean %. Will taking winny during this time reduce muscle loss? A month is all I have for the cutting cycle- any suggestions to maximize this month?
Second, I am planning an 8 week cycle of (oral) 50mg winny ED, plus 15mg of anavar. I'm hoping for big strength gains without too much size. Anything that might help this?
Last questions I want to ask are probably really newbish, but here goes. Will I be able to work out more taking winny and anavar? Work out harder? Take less rest time? Right now I am in moderate shape- workout 2-3 times/week in the gym (30 min cardio), plus almost daily MA sessions- usually an hour or so 5 days/week. My goal is to keep the gym sessions the way they are, but double the MA training times. Will the strength cycle help me get fit enough to do this any faster?
Thanks!

Dude, its fine that you are seeking advice about gear as anyone who has never done them should do, there is a sticky on the the discussion forum thats titled steroidprofiles. On this board you have from amature to very professional body builders and all do steroids for their own reasons, competition, powerlifting, vanity and so on...now dont take this personal but wanting to take steroids for the purpose of martial arts I take that as an insult! I've been doing Martial Arts for over 30 years, I started when I was 4 and now I am 35. I've done boxing(golden gloves), muy tai(with Benny "the Jet" Urquidez),taekwondo, koga ryu ninjuitsu, wing chun, wu shu kung fu, capoera, aikido, jeet kundo, brazillian ju juitsu(with Royler Gracie), greco roman wrestling,etc.. I was doing mixed MA before it was the "in" thing.. at 35 I've had more fights both on the street and in the ring than I care to remeber and not once did I use steroids because if I was set to kick someones ass I wanted them to know it was me that did it not because I cheated. Look, to each his own and it's your body but any true martial artist would never even consider that. Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Jet Li, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Royce Gracie, Stephen Hayes etc, etc, etc your best bet to increase your speed and stamina is to clean up your diet if you want to do roids go ahead I do it but never to increase my strength before a fight or to train harder in the gym. Like I said dont take this personal this goes for anyone who's serious about the arts, still if you need tips on how to improve yourself I'll help you if you want help with gear you'll get that too.

stanazolol will dry out your joint and will most liekly make it hard to be nimble, and 15mgs of anavar would be a waste as it is too low

Impressive Jilani! And all this time I never knew you were so "deep" into MA. Great advice also as far as Mind over Matter and self control. You have truly impressed me with your words of wisdom.

Thanks Greg, I am very serious and I take offense when someone seeks to dishonor the Arts in any way. You see I'm from the old school where it would take 10 to 12 years just to get your brown belt in a particular art, nowadays as long as you pay your Sensei he'll promote you no matter how much you suck and then you'll have your black belt after about 2 years, then they tell you "go kick ass". I'm currently training to become a Jung Shee(Grandmaster) in the White Tiger Iron Palm system, every year there is a test and this training takes 15 years to complete so I'll be 49(God willing) when I'm done. Not many people would do that they want the quick fix.
jilani, i first have to say that i respect your accomplishments- you should be proud of them as very few people have both the talent and the drive to do what you have. next, i have to say that i came here to get advice and information about a decision i take very seriously, and i believe that my decision to use steroids may be shallow, but isnt unethical. the whole subject of the ethical use of steroids in sports is a huge topic and opinions vary immensely, and, for what its worth, i agree that it is unethical to get all juiced up to fight someone who isnt. i would be happy to explain my situation and motives to you, but not on the public forum. and thanks for the offer to help- i would appreciate any gear and non-gear information and advice you can offer.

When you discuss ethics in sports lets look at it on a broad spectrum...like I said I dont care who does steroids because if I said I did I would be a hypocrite because I do it...but think when Barry Bonds hits a home run what do people say "Oh,steroids" do you remember what happened when all those baseball players had to testify in court on the subject of steroids? if they do it others say that it is unfair to the ones who dont, for example my favorite baseball player Bernie Williams of the New York Yankees.. a wonderful player but now that he's 37 can he compete with a guy who is on steroids?
Would anyone like to step into the ring with Mike Tyson?(in his prime) now imagine if he was on steroids  "Macho Man" Randy Savage left wrestling for a while back in 1999 when he returned he was ripped, tanned and huge..what did people say "He's got to be on roids" again we can go on for days on this subject..whoever does steroids thats their business, wrestlers, bodybuilders and we all know that they are definitely on it, football players,soccer,baseball...it matters not to me I used to enjoy watching guys like the Ultimate Warrior with his ballon arms throw people around, I like watching Jason Giambi hit homeruns it may mean that the Yankees will win that day and so on but martial arts should be kept pure to do steroids to be stronger thats fine thats why I do it I feel that I must be on top of my game all the time, but do you think it would be right if I went into some dojo or a open tournament, put on a white belt and just started kicking ass..if anyone found out that I have over 30 years experience they would be furious wouldnt they? would it be fair if I crushed someones sternum with one blow someone whos never thrown a punch in his life? now imagine if I hit him being on steriods.

I have to say Jilani that your posts on this thread are inconsistent at best. I'm a mma fighter as well. You write that you take steroids but not to make you stronger for a fight. Problem is they do make you stronger when you fight so your self-righteous morality about taking them doesn't fly. You also write that that no "true" martial artist would ever take them? First, how do you know? Second, how do you know whether the guys you mentioned never took them? Third, I didn't realize that only you know who true martial artists are and what they do.
You state that you believe taking steroids is "cheating". This is an incorrect view. Taking steroids is simply a quicker and more efficient way of reaching one's goals. To reach our goals in all areas of life most of us want a quicker, more efficient, way. Mma itself is a way to learn to fight or to learn to defend onself in a quicker and more efficient way than getting stuck on just one system of training.
So, anyway, what would be a good cycle for a martial artist? See first post for stats, intent, etc. Thanks.

Biph, you are going to want to look at cutting drugs. I am sorry I kind of forgot your original post but I believe you said this is your first cycle. actually I will just PM you.
Jilani and Apollo, guys please chill out. From my experience Jilani is a chill cat and a really good guy, I don't know you Apollo but I understand where you are coming from and seem like a good guy as well. When I first real your post Jilani I was a little surprised but then I thought about it and started to agree and just understood that this is something we are both passionate about and thats where your feeling cam from. I truly feel that roids do not belong in fighting at all. You are doing something that could kill your opponent, no need to take something to make you even more agressive. There is also a purity that I feel needs to be maintained. Now that jilani and myself have lived through some hard times and have some age on us we no longer compete, and no longer have the ability we did 10 yearsd ago, so we have made decisions to use drugs to help us out to retain some semblance of youth so we can continue to raise our legs above our waists. The waist that unfortunately is 5 inches larger than it used to be. Pleas eunderstand that us old idiots need to do something to make the woman in our lives still get wet when we touch them, instead of vomiting when we take out shirts off.
Jokes aside I think you guys would really benefit from taking this to PM or if you want we could open a chat on AIM and settle this calm and cool. I would be glad to join the chat and not jump in unless it gets off track. I know that we are all here because we are competetive by nature and with personalities like ours we bump heads easy. Let mew know if I can help you guys settle this.
