Blood in Aspiration

So the other day I had a buddy of mine give me an injection because my g/f wasn't able to do it. He's very inexperienced and I gave him a quick 10 minute lesson on how to do injections. After he sticking me he didn't aspirate and it felt like he started to inject and I told him to aspirate immediatly... sure enough blood started to fill the syringe. He said he didn't inject any, but it sure did feel like he did. Is there any serious danger if a small amount was injected into a vein? I also got a gigantic bruise, but I'm pretty sure that's just from the blood being released from the vien.

If you are typing this, then you are in no danger :D. But on a serious note, a small amount will not kill you but not recommended. Learn to do injections yourself, the reliability and trust of someone else doing it is not worth your time or health.

Well that's definately a relief. I wasn't really freaking out about it, I just wanted to play it safe. I have done injections myself, but I find it hard to steady my hand and the needle ends up moving around a lot. Thanks for the advice though, and although that bulldog isn't mine I do have 2 english bulldogs that are about 8 months old. One of them looks almost exactly like the one in my avatar:D They are definately great dogs to own... stubborn as all hell, but very affectionate and loyal.
