Looking for a little advice or opinion...

A few of you might know I am running the Women's Super Fat Loss cycle...for those who don't...you do now!!! :p

My triceps are loose and flabby and I want to tighten them up without building a lot of muscle.

I will be using dumbbells and cables to work my tri's...but was wondering what opinions or advice you guys have about making the tri's NOT SO FLABBY!!!

:)

I highly recommend doing something like TaeBo, or really even just straight up boxing. Trust me, very little will tighten up your arms without making them large as boxing will. Start hitting the heavy bag for 3 minute rounds. Just throw jabs and crosses at it. This along with the dumb bells and cables should be all you need. You could add the push ups where you put your hands on the ground right in front of your face and touching the 2 thumbs and fore finders making a diamond shape. This will work tri's very nice.

I agree, Ive done the "Ab BootCamp" by Billy Blanks its really good.

Dumbell kickbacks, work wonders for the rear head of the tri's
one arm tricep extentions (w/dumbell)
tricep cable pressdowns
one arm cable reverse pressdowns- these develop the horseshoe shape of the tri's.
Do these all at a low weight at high reps and always flex the muscle and hold for a second or two upos every exertion. It works for me :) Now the boxing part is also very good not only will you lose weight but it will rip you up. I train my six year old daughter in all types of martial arts... Wing chun, Taekwondo, grappling(Brazilian jui-jitsu) etc and its amazing watching her little muscles develop, her arms are especially strong from all the punching and pushups she has to do.

I'm thinking that if you do traditional weight training, instead of concentrating on flabby-this or flabby-that...you'll just get rid of the flabby triceps thing without really focusing on it...

I agree w/ both Lilly and Alin. As lilly suggested close grip pushups u can also try close grip bench presses. I would start out on the Smith Machine until u get the feel for the exercise. And as Alin said skull crushers, press-downs, and kickbacks are gret for toning and shaping. I sometimes grab a cable lowered all the way to floor w/ no attachment for kickbacks to really burn out my tri's. I would keep all of these excercises in the 12-15 rep range or even higher@ the end of your workout to pump as much blood into the muscle as possible. Keep that diet in check and you'll be smokin.

Try some of these:

Triceps:

seated/standing one-arm dumbbell/straight-bar extension behind head
seated/standing two-arm dumbbell/straight-bar extension behind head
seated tricep extension machine
standing tricep press down
flat bench skull-crushers with ez-bar/straight-bar
incline bench skull with ez-bar/straight-bar
one-arm tricep kickbacks with one-hand and bent-leg on flat bench
standing two-arm low-pulley tricep extension overhead
dips (chest and triceps)
standing two-arm high pulley tricep extension back facing machine

Great for a newbie trying to find some specific exercises...

Aye Alin's advice is very close to what i do.

My Tricep workout consists of

3 sets Skullcrushers 12-15 reps
3 sets Seated tricep pushdown's "hammer strength machine" 12-15
3 sets Kickbacks 12-15
3 sets pushdowns 12-15
3 sets with the rope 12-15.

Not sure what you are trying for? Bulk or lean. If you have flabby triceps chances are your body fight is high and you should be doing more cardio.
I am a guy 6"5 302 lbs with 22" arms.. so if your not looking for bulk i would prob not do my workout.
