Amplify is the only good thing GNC has going for it. Good Taste. a little expensive but I have had good results and think it is an overall good product.

i will never shop gnc, unless im getting an isopure drink or something, prices are outrageous and have you ever noticed that 50% of thier products are made by GNC, seems like they are trying to run a monopoly over there. my favorite powder is cytosport cytogainer, good amount of protien/carbs/calories, i think something like only 5g of sugar which is low for a weight gainer and tastes really good.

"American Bodybuolding" (ABB) makes a decent powder, all the flavors are decent as well.
My advice to all, never ever, ever shop at GNC unless you just enjoy spending more money than you have to. You can get all you need from much cheaper places. My favorite is www.dpsnutrition.com but there are several good sites with good prices.

Shiping is based on weight of what you order, just add items into your shoppong cart and it will tally the shipping cost for you.

Cytosport and Beverly International Products I like best. My new favorite is protien factory (www.proteinfactory.com) you can make your own blends and they have reviews of products. Good stuff so far!

SynthePURE by Synthetek is the best protein period. Great tasting, no bloat, gas, or upset stomach. very high quality whey isolate.

I love the taste of Muscle Milk by CytoSport - Bannana Cream is AMAZING! I also use ON 100% Whey when I am low on cash. I've yet to try any of Synthtek's products - how does their protein taste? Any opinions?

muscle milk is really good tasiting, really rich, at least the chocolate, cytogainer is what ive been taking for the last few months, very similar taste. before that i used ON mass builder or somehting like that, it comes in the huge ass bag, it didnt taste bad from what a remember but did have a lot of sugar which i try to stay away from. i havent used synthetek yet, i will probbaly try something out from there sometime soon

Thanks for all the replies.
I went with IDS Multi-Pro Whey found here:
http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=ID040&back=yes&dept=1275&last=1275
Thanks for that link. They had the best price around on this stuff at 29.95 per 5lbs. The label is the updated version found on IDS website not what dps has. I did alot of research on protiens and this seemed to be a good deal. Just tired of Optimum 100%.
Pros:
26grams of protein per scoop.
tons of vitamins and amino acids.(dont really need this because I have multi-vitamins i take. Still more is better right.)
Good taste if mixed well.
Cons:
Hard to mix by hand. I have a blender though and mix my whole days worth at once.

I agree w/ 2 things you've all said. CNC is for chumps, even their name brand proteins, which are cheaper for the $ are not up to par. I like optimum and Muscle Milk tastes good enough to just drink for the hell of it. Right now I'm trying Elite powder from my local gym, the owner hooked me up. It tastes pretty good but the resluts are still on hold. I'm really excited to try synthepure. Will be giving it a try next.

I use the "100% Whey Protein" by GNC...Tastes great, cost is 2.3 cents per gram. pretty good price I think. Canned tuna is, on a sale day, 2.3 cents.
Someone once said that Optimum makes the GNC protien and they just throw their label on it, but I have yet to be able to prove or disprove it.

http://www.synthetek.com/ sells Synthepure... some of the best protien on the market imo
I also get beverly international muscle provider from www.dpsnutrition.net
VP2 is decent as well. Optimum Nutrition is lying, they sell Isolate for less than it cost to make it... theres no way to stay in buisness and it gives me gas from all the fillers...

Muscle Milk has too little protien, too much fat... thats why it taste good, because its not healthy.

Bump the VP2(citrius splash), I use it while I train cause it mixes with the water I'm drinking and is very light with very low sugar if any(can't remember) with a good amount of protein(whey isolate). This way I get my water and protien continously while trainning and that quick amount right after I'm done.

GNC brand whey is loaded with cholesterol compared to most others and IMO its not very good stuff. :)

Offseason I like 50g SynthePURE with 1 table spoon of Nutella and 500ml water - YUMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SynthePURE in applejuice is awesome too.
You can do anything with it since it has no taste - mix it in anything or cook with it (high protein muffins, etc).

BigA, does synthepure lose any of its protein value if its cooked? I know that alot of wheys and drinks do, but ive heard of a couple that dont.... just wondering since your the man and all.

That's a good question 'cause I like to make my own bars. Also can it be pre-mixed? I like to make one to last throughout the day if I can't get at it regularly, somebody told me the bio-avaliability of the aminos breaks down when mixed and is left for a while.

Just be careful with something white and powdery like creatin monohydrate. I had to go to court one time for something and I had some in a bag in my backpack. They searched it and took it along with me to test it for coke or something. It does look like coke lol.

SynthePURE doesn't denature with heat, so it's safe for cooking.
I don't know about mixing it and keeping it. Kept in the fridge once mixed lasts fine, but it would go off after a number of hours out in the open.

It truly is the best protein powder that exists. It is impossible to manufacture a better one.
The reason why others don't make this quality is because the manufacturing cost is 2.5 times higher than of other wheys, so the profit margins are lower.

thats exactly why I said optimum nutrition is lying out their ass when they say they are selling Pure Isolate... it cost more to make than they sell it for.
