View Full Version : Gain Muscle - Losing Fat?

I'm trying to gain mass and at the same time trying losing fat- especially in my abs area. (I have a flat stomach if I semi-press it in, but I do have fat on it - Im about 15% BF)

I have read that if you consume 2,000 cal. a day, you should use 2000 up.
Whatever amount left over will turn into fat. But don't I need that extra amount of calories to gain weight?

I also read that I need to do cardio to burn fat. But cardio is to burn calories, if I consume less I would not need to run, right? I just have to eat right, which I do (5 meals / chicken, rice, meat, eggs, cheese, oats cereal). SO WHY AM I GAINING AROUND MY STOMACH AREA??? Any comments?

keep things simple, do you want to loose fat or gain muscle. untill you come to a conclusion on that you wont have the greatest of results flip flopping. no matter what you eat you still need to do cardio to loose weight. you are overtraining also if your working out a body part more than once a week whether on gear or not.

Jstforme,

I am going to start doing all body parts only once a week, I have never done it and will try it for a change. I have read up on it in the past, thanks.

About the loose fat or gain mass.....Well.... I want both, Its not like I am 5'10 @ 240... Im only 5'10 and weigh 180. If I were gaining HUGE amounts of weight, then it would be acceptable to have fat gains (My mass gains will surpass that of the fat gains), but Im relatively thin... I SHOULD NOT be getting any* fat. Most guys who are thin and start to gain mass, just gain mass- they keep their stomach flat. Could I be over eating? If so, then it should turn to muscle, no??

Nope...I don't know his cycle history(If it's in one of his links then sorry not gonna look it up right now) so in his case I can only say diet is the biggest part and trainning, well lift heavy weights and through in a couple cardio sessions a week...

I disagree. when I was on cycle my recovery times were quicker and I was on a two day on one day off work out schedule. I hit all muscle groups every 5 days, six max, with great results. every now and then I took two days off, but for the most part just the one.

now that I am off cycle I have backed off a bit as my recovery is not as quick, and since I am 5 weeks off cycle now I still have not added and isolation reps or finish reps (cables for instance) back in to the workout. I want my natural test levels to be close to normal before I go all out. And its working for me, I have kept most of my gains (about 90%).

It works for me.:)

"my two cents"

diet is critical for sharp abs,,,most men need to be at least 9% or lower to see abs.

2 on 1 off is just fine. what i disagree with is 6 days strait training, even though ive done it and got results, it would have been a lot better if i backed off some, but that was when i didnt know as much as i know now. i hit all muscle groups in 5 days too(mon, wed, fri, but it takes a whole week). 5-6 days is pretty much considered a week to me. i just disagree with a routine such as this:
mon chest tri
tues back bi legs
wed shoulders
thur chest tri
fri back bi legs
sat shoulders i think a muscle needs more than 4 days before it is worked out again, thats what i was trying to say

What do you mean you hit all muscle groups every 5 days?
E.G. you work out chest on Monday and then again on Saturday?

Dude if no one will say it then I will.

You sound like you don't know shit about training, nutrition, and sure as fuck drugs. I don't want to sound harsh but c'mon man. You're asking very basic beginner questions that you could easily find all the answers you ever wanted and then some with just a little reading. Please spend a few months researching proper training and nutrition before even considering steroid use.

I looked at your cycle history and found sTaTic's quote and I have to agree...However I would jumpstart with 4 weeks of a low dose of adrol and dbol(get it low dose while takin both or just shoot for one or the other since you didn't mention it in the history) Also shoot the test/Eq. and take the Eq to 600mgs. since you have done it enough and run the Eq way longe(@ least 12 weeks) while takin the test 2 weeks longer...

I dont gain any weight w/o roids. If I dont know about nutrition, could you tell me what I should eat since you probably know. Could you enlighten me by showing us some of your body pictures? I want to see and know what you are doing better than me. Thanks
