I went to the doctor for a routine exam and while I was there I thought I had nothing to lose if I asked about getting some deca. He said "no, because your testicles will stop producing testosterone on their own". I was going to say "didn't you ever hear of pct" but I figured what's the use. lol I guess it is almost impossible to get a doctor to give his ok for these things.

Why even ask a doctor????
You already know what they're going to say.
And plus, anything he says other than no and you take his advice, get "hurt", and he could get sued.

I support asking your doctor... the reason being... our doctor can't wait for us to come in and get bloodwork done... he is fascinated by what we do and take and keeps us in check. Our doc's dad was a biochemist...
Our doc has spent countless hours going over our own research and enhancing our knowledge with his.
Most general practitioners only know "general" information... So your doctor may not be wrong... but he may also NOT know what you do. Your doctor must keep your information "confidential" to the extent of the law anyway.

Why would any doctor in his right mind risk losing his license to give an average Joe Blo a script for a steroid without any tests? Common sense bro......they won't!

I convinced my urologist to take me off of Androgel over the summer, because I just sweat it off. He totally was cool with it. He gave me a shot of hgc, showed me how (and where) to inject. Then wrote me a script for TestE 150mg /wk, plus 100, 23x11/2 syringes for three months !!! Needless to say I had to increase the Test but at least I have a script if caught.
SA- WEET.

You're lucky. You actually have a doctor who is interested in what you do and to actually learn the truth about steroids. 99.9% of doctors are not like that.
This chiropractor I go to used to use steroids in hs and college back in the late 70's, He was a fb player and BBer. He used a lot of deca, dbol, anavar, and oral winny and had terrible experience with loss of libido, water rentention, and so on and so forth. He had a terrible experience because of no PCT and no anti-estrogens. Has he ever done research to find out how you can take deca with no water rentention and no shruken nuts? No! He thinks that you cannot overcome those things so he always talks very negativly about steroids.

A visit to a doctor is highly recommended. In fact, if you can get hold of a good endocrinologist nothing like it.
A complete blood work like Alin said adds a lot of value to your cycle. A good doctor is a very knowledgeable person and can advise you based on the results of your blood work.
The end results matter the most - no matter what sort of a cycle you're on. The end results depend on your existing blood profile and the roids you use. An endo can provide solid advise on both issues.
Doctors tend not to think out of the box, i.e. if their peers don't approve of it they don't either. This is why most doctors will not advocate roid use. It's simply a question of finding a doctor who specializes in hormones, and in my experience they are glad to help.

Thats what i had done yesterday and I wasnt lookiin for my doc to hook me w/ aas. My only reason for the visit was to get some nolva/adex; u can't beat my co-pay of 10$ or less for each drug filled. Oh, I almost forgot he hooked me w/ one of the best dierutics, hydorchlorothiazide for BP. He's a pretty cool doc. Im just waiting for my blood work to come back.
