Who Preloads Pins??????

I have preloaded pins several @ a time just for convienience. How long is it safe to keep them around "loaded". Anyone else do this??
I have read thousands of threads and have never seen a thread about it.
Give me some good input on this one, i'm sure i'm not the only one curious

That is a good question. I also preload my pins sometimes for four weeks ahead of time.

I preload mine a week in advance to save time during the week. The practice is fine but I believe you want to store it so that the gear is not in contact with the rubber portion of the plunger.

A buddy of mine that I played ball w/ in college pre-loads almost all of his stuff for various reasons. When I talked to him about last he loads about a month of gear @a time and then puts them in a fridge that's a little warmer than the one you would use to keep parishable food in. I'm not sure why but if I were to guess I would say it would be to prevent bacteria from getting ahold of the pin??

The only need to preload is if you are going out of town and don't want to carry your gear with you or if you are using something like 3.5 amps per week.

The main reason to not preload your syringes is for sanitary concerns.

Couldn,t agree more with (Bucket) . What convenience ! It's impossible to pre-load without the gear coming into contact with the rubber plunger and depending what you are pre-loading most of the gear (especially BA) has a sticking effect on the rubber plunger. The organic oils that they mix the gear in is not anything like the oil you put in your car. The more you tamper with everything the more chances there are for contamination ! As far as taking trips,how much gear are you doing and how far are you going that you can't take a shot before you go and one on your return ! What convenience ? You are going to have to load up whether you do it right away or a week earlier. It is much more sanitary to do it immediately before the shot then have it sit in a syringe for a month. If you do, it won't hurt to fill up the point cap with alcohol before you re-cap it. Another problem you can run into is "what the hell did I put in this syringe,the deca or the sust !" or the cyanide for the creep at the gym ! Some of you guy's must have lots of time on your hands to stay up all night loading your guns for the next month. That would be a chore, where using it as you need it dosn't take much time and there will be less chance of mistakes and it's more sterile. Do yourself a favor and try not to think of more ways to hurt yourself ! A.S. is getting a bum rap already without the problems uneducated users are adding to the unending list ! soulmate
