Try and get down to 12% for bulking and if you are goining to run a cutter then 15% will work.

what about these powerlifters there always fat, what do you recomend for them, its kind of funny because in the gym the guys on roids with big guts are called powerlifters, the guys that can strike off an ab shot are called body builders, as far as i can see the only difference is powerlifters cant resist food

i dont know about you but with me at 12% my abs are showing, to tell a person interested in getting into shape to waIt until there at 12% bodyfat isnt fair, all you guys know steroids help in dieting so you dont loose muscle, this guy is dieting to loose weight, he should be dieting to loose bodyfat, the way i see it hes willing to diet at all hes way ahead of most of them, I say put him on some decca and primobolan while hes dieting, and dont discourage a new customer

I think there is a bigger difference than just that. Power lifters do more powerlifing movements in their workout's, While BB's take a different approach and work on different parts of each muscle to bring balance and proportion. Now many bodybuilders will use basic powerlitting techniques to build up muscle (Which I believe should be the case) but you will rarely see power lifters working on abs. It is just two different goals, both of which if done right are awesome examples of what the human body can go through and do.

But I believe Micky switched from power lifting over to BB so he could probably answer this for you alot better than myself.

I will have to disagree with a few points here. If diet is 80% of it then what purpose would it serve to start someone out injecting gear into their body when they are not really sure how to build a diet to maintain it? If someone knows how "THEIR OWN" body responds to different food/cals then they are miles ahead of someone who doesn't even have a clue and therefore not wasting their time and energy for nothing. How many times on boards will someone post their fifth cycle and still be 6' tall and weighing in at 155? I think we have all seen it before. Diet is alot more important than gear.

Now there is the concern about starting someone on gear that doesn't have a solid workout routine or has not worked out in years, and just "Getting back into it". What happens when you build up muscle quickly without the rest of your body being able to support it? The answer is injury! Tendons grow much slower than muscle tissue does so if someone who doesn't workout or doesn't have a solid routine in place is alot more prone to injury then someone who has exhausted all their efforts doing it naturally and needing some help, or going to the next level.

This is my reason why I do not give out cycle advise until the person is both mentally ready (Doing their homework and studying) and physically ready (Someone who knows how their body responds to different diets and weights). I would much rather error on the side of caution then to just throw someone in on a cycle when they are not ready to do so.

I hope this did not come off like I was ranting or calling you out on anything because that's not what I'm doing. I'm just giving a reason as to why I suggested 12% for bulking and 15% for cutting.

I think the main difference between bodybuilders and powerlifters, is that bodybuilders like to make simple things complicated.

Interesting, points but I think if you are looking to mass then don't worry so much about BF, because you are not interested in a washboard stomach. I have to agree with anaholic. Gear helps defeat muscle loss while on a stringent diet. He needs to get his diet into place, and then start his cycle. That doesnt mean that at a 35 % BF he should be using gear either. Its common sense BigTom. You will know when you are ready. Most of us started after years of working out and dieting. Do your home work and you will answer that question for yourself.

I am taking all this in consideration. I am pretty strick with my diet. I am taking in about 2400 cal. Also, very low fat. I am losing bodyfat I just dob't want to start losing muscle. I weight 205 and I am taking in about 280 Grams of carbs. So to keep the muscle I have. I have been working harder then ever to keep it. Thats why I was asking when the right bf% is to start steroids. I heard that if you have less bf% the gear will not have to work on burning the fat rather to just build the muscle. I also, Have to look at steroid diets. I would have to guess that you have to consume alot of cal. becuase the gear burns so many? I am thankful for all the help.

I have to agree with bucket and Mick for the most part. I don't nesacarily agree on the BF percentage but everything else is bullseye correct. Even if you are not trying to cut and are just looking for strength and mass you better have your diet right.
