Hey everybody, looking for a little help. Cutting cycle and diet working perfectly . My top 4 abs are showing but I have some loose skin around the bottom of my stomach that is covering my lower abs. Any ideas on how to tighten it up??? Surgery is not an option for me. Thanks in advance!!!

Lower stomach and the love handles are very tough areas...how is your cardio/workout, and what does your diet look like?!

Diet is clean, cardio 3x per week for 20 min. I lost the fat, no love handles, just loose skin and it sucks.

Sometimes, for some people, surgery is the only option?!

There might be a cream for that, but I don't know how effective that would be..

Getting a massage every 2-3 weeks help in reducing loose skin. At least that is what my massage therapist (wife) tells me.

I have the same problem and it sucks.. Been trying different creams but nothing really seems to work.. I'm trying a collagen base cream now.. Hope it works..

Fingers crossed....

My wife also has her license in cosmetology and says to insist that the massage therapist uses Cocoa Butter to help with any stretch marks.

No problems with stretch marks or fat, just loose skin from recent fat loss. My BF is about 11 or 12%. Has anyone heard of using preperation h to tighten skin I heard that it works but I would like to hear first hand from someone who has tried.

Preparation-H is good for tightening up a stomach if you are at contest bf%. If you are in the low 3-4% bf range then it will give a slight bit more tightening to the area, but what most guys use it for is to draw off that last bit of water they still might have...I'm not 100% sure that this is very effective, I did try this once and I couldn’t tell if it helped that much at all. Anyway, at your bf% it isn't going to help at all.

Let me add this, growing up I was overweight, I got up to 230lbs, bf%, not sure but it was high and my pants size was 38-40. I got tired of being fat and at sometime around 18 I decided to lose weight. I went from 230lb to 155 in around 17 months with diet and cardio, no weight training. So, needless to say my stomach had a good deal of loose skin. I then began weight training and quickly got interested in competitive bodybuilding and my training quickly began to evolve to fit this purpose. Over time, my loose skin did begin to tighten up, but it did take some time and I had to be very careful with my bulking, especially at the beginning stages. As I've progressed over the years, it's been almost 10 years now, my stomach has tightened very well. I still have to be careful with the bulking stages, because I think it might be easy to re-stretch out that skin. I now get up to between 225-230 in my off-season and my waist never gets above 31" I can't allow that for fear of the stretching. I know 230 isn't as big as a lot of you get, but I'm only 5'8" and I'm in it for competitive bb aspects, not pure size and power lifting things.

So give it time, it should tighten up if you stay motivated and patient. Just keep your diet clean and work your abs. Although ab work does not itself tighten the skin per say, but if the abs become bigger they will fill in a lot of that area.

Last off, the skin does have the ability, for lack of better wording, to "heal" itself….so good luck to you.

Simply by feel. Loose skin should feel thin and hollow, if it’s loose skin then there should not be a thick "chunk" you can grab.

ikf your BF is around 11-12, you still have some fat deposit in that area!

really watch your sodium, drain that water out, and go for anothehr 2 % fat loss,

That skin will have a hard time hiding anything at 8% BF! :D :)

Thanks alot you guys I worked too hard to get where I am at now to let it go. I will continue to eat clean as I have been. Another 2% or 3% reduction in BF is no big deal. This winter I plan on adding about 20 lbs just going to have to be extra careful I guess.
