Found an explanation for you from another site:
Substance: (2,4-Dinitrophenol)
The substance; 2, 4-Dinitrophenol has many other brand names such as, 1 Hydroxy-2,4-dinitrophenol, Solfo Black, Nitrophen, Aldifen, and Chemox are just a few and is among many things, a metabolic stimulant. That is it's popularity here in our world, it burns fat like no other.
DNP is an uncoupling agent that inhibits the flow of electrons and the pumping of H+ ions for ATP synthesis. Fifty years ago it was used for weight loss, however, in 1938 the FDA removed it from the counter, as it caused cataracts and even sometimes death. If electron transport does not produce ATP, then much more sugar must be metabolized for energy needs. Very low production of ATP would be lethal. In oxidative phosphorylation, the flow of electrons from NADH (the reduced form of NAD+, oxidized from NAD. This enzyme is important in accepting electrons in the course of metabolic reactions. When NAD+ gives up it's electron, it is converted to it's reduced form NADH) and FADH2 (the reduced form of FAD) to oxygen results in the pumping of H+ from the matrix to the inner membrane space of the mitochondria. This gradient of H+ can produce ATP by flowing through ATP synthetase in the mitochondrial inner membrane. Dinitrophenol disrupts the H+ gradient reducing ATP synthesis. Under these conditions, much of the food that we eat could not be used for ATP synthesis and we lose weight. However, too much inhibitor and we could make too little ATP for life. The difference between weight loss and death is only a small concentration change in dinitrophenol, making the drug dangerous. Simply put, this means that while eating your normal diet, you will have somewhere between 20% and 40% reduction of calories.
You may now be wondering just what kind of dose would be effective, but not harmful. A dose of 2mg/kg/day (or two mgs per kg of body weight per day) would be an effective dose, causing the loss of about 5 to 10 pounds in a 10 to 14 day period, maybe less. So, a person weighing 200 lbs would weigh about 91 kgs, so 2mgs per kg of body weight would be the equivalent of 182 mgs of DNP per day, but since it typically comes in 200 mg capsules, you would take one cap per day. Since DNP has this inhibiting effect, glycolosis is inhibited as well, causing a diabetic effect due to the conversion of glucose without insulin, so you may have heard that people take insulin with DNP. This will counter act the symptoms of lethargy and lack of energy due to DNP's use.

Is it not available because of the dangers associated with it, or is it just too hard to come by? Losing that much weight in such a short time (besides the negatives of the drug itself) cannot be good for you......
But it does sound like the bomb....perhaps they should change that old saying.... " What won't kill ya, will only make ya thinner"

DNP is an industrial chemical with many different uses. If you do some research and are resourceful enough you can get DNP but you will have to learn how to convert from liquid to powder. It is a very dangerous substance!! If you need to lose fat, just clean up your diet and do the cardio. I personally am in the last few weeks of Alin's 8 week men's cutting cycle with a clean diet and got awesome results. My b/f went from about 15% to about 11% in only 6 weeks. Good luck and be careful.

I don't know what your friend told ya and I don't know ANY stats of ya but I know enough to tell you not to do it, at least not yet. The reason I say at least not yet is I don't know you're stats or you. It should mostly be used for exp. contest users and in precontest use. Some use it anyways but just be safe about it if you decide on this. DIET CAN DO A LOT BTW!

dnp is a great fast loss aid...
it also makes great rat poison.
be careful with it because it can easily overheat your internal organs etc if not done correctly and if you don't look out for when you really need to realize its time to drop dnp.
i dont think i'll ever take dnp because i dont need to lose weight, i want to gain :P
if i did need to take a fat loss supplement i'd much rather do ec stack or clen

I know a few places that deal it but I wont refer people... I dont feel very good recommending such hardcore chemicals to people... There have been some recent deaths from it, I would recommend useing something else.

i agree and feel the same about recommending it... i know a guy that used to compete a lot and he said "i wouldnever tell anyone to use dnp, ever."
t3/clen is an effective stack and much safer. Also i heard t3/low dosage of gh is really good for women, too.

I wanted to say everyone should focus on diet and trainning but then I'd slightly be a hipocrit(spelling). I have used things to lean up but before I knew anthing about any AAS and fat loss helpers I just did a reduced calorie diet and weight trainning/cardio and I went from 210(fat) to 183 ripped(I thought and so did others)

Likewise.
I've used DNP before and hope Alin gets some in soon.
Yes, it's dangerous. But so are steroids if you don't do the proper research.
