Hi Guys,
Just curious to see what type of training methods & frequency you are using and which 'method' is the most popular.
I use 2 variants of HIT throughout the year.
The basic principle is always the same, train to failure using 1-3 sets per body part and only train once every 72-96 hours, ie, if a train Monday at 7pm I train again no sooner than Thursday or even wait till Friday if I've still not recovered properly.
The only variance is that for roughly 6 months I'll use straight sets and then for the other half of the year I'll use Pre Exhaust, Rest Pause and Static Holds to up the intensity.
I know this follows pretty closely to a 'Mentzer Type' take on HIT and as such will not be thought of as 'a correct way to train' (i've had lots of discussions about this over on Promuscle!) but it works for me and thats why I use it.
Btw, I'm not going to knock or critique any routines or methods that are posted in reply as if it works for you then I say stick with it, regardless of whether it's training with 20 sets per body part 6 days a week or like me, next to no volume at all! :)
Looking forward to reading your replies Bruthas.
Cheers,
C nj
