Find another doctor. If you don't have insurance to pay for your overpriced androgel, your doc should give you the cheaper injectable alternative. Androgel is the biggest marketing behemoth there is to the doctors. I've seen generic Watson for $48 for 10ml at pharmacies(which lasts up to 20 weeks on TRT dosages) while Androgel is over $400 for max dosage per month. That's the biggest scam I've ever seen. I'm really surprised the insurance companies even covers the Androgel cost when there is an alternative 15x cheaper.

Secondly, Androgel doesn't work for a lot of people.

Sorry, but I highly doubt anyone will swap with you. That's illegal. You're better off self medicating if you don't have insurance.

This may sound crazy but iam crazy. I wonder if you could inject androgel to get the max. Instead if just the 10 percent absorbed through. Probably hurt like hell because it is alcohol based.

Just tell your doctor to prescribe you testosterone suspension. Tell him you handle children or you are in contact with your girl often or you go to the gym and you don't want that shit to rub off. Fuck the doctor, tell him you are not willing to pay 15x the price for the same prescription. The doctor is supposed to be your advocate, tell him he is not doing his job by making you pay so much money for that worthless bullshit. Tell the fucker to do his job. Find another doctor if you must. MANY can not afford a 300 per month prescription. The inject is far cheaper. Get quotes from your local pharmacy's and call him/her back and explain.

Well since i have been prescribed BOTH, i figured id say a few things.

First, what started my mess was that years ago i was in the middle of a cycle when my gaul bladder went & i needed surgery. SO BASICALLY,, i never came off cycle properly and i now have LOW test levels.

Back on track,,, more blood testing & they did find my test levels were LOW & prescribbed me angrogel. I hated the stuff, PERIOD!!

Next step, i told them i WAS using it when i wasnt so after more bloodwork they finally stepped up and gave me a script for REAL test-Enethate!! When i picked it up it was this little 5cc vial with 200mg/ml.

My next appointment, i brung it with me as the doc wanted. NOW they tell me its a once a month shot & i told them no friggen way. I stated that i can get my test levels higher then that with OTK supps!! SO, i said, either they make this a weekly inject, or im gonna use this 5cc bottle to jump start another cycle!! I then walked out.

--- And so,,, im now running 500mg/test-e,, & 325mg/eq a week, plus i threw in 40mgs of dbol per day & an OTK,((sorta)), IGF-1 & HGH product.

--- And thats my story for the day!!!

If you want to increase the absorption of the Gell is mix it with DMSO, between the transdermal in the Gell and the DMSO it gets in your bloodstream almost immediately. When my libido is low some times I will use this method and I get results extremely fast.The only draw back is when It hits your bloodstream you will get a taste like oysters in your mouth and for serveral days your bedding and towels and breath will have this grouse smell.My wife hates the smell!!

My Doc first prescribed Androgel as well. I believe I did that shit for maybe 1 month. Insurance rejected the claim because it was prescibed by a Uro and not an edo. They wanted to know cause of low test. That was a little two years ago. Have self medicated since. If I get into a pinch, my Doc will prescribe a 10ml vial of cyp as an interim. We do blood every six month and he is aware that I source my own. That is what I consider an ideal situation. Allows me to cycle up at my schedule, but yet still stay under the eye of a doc. I calculate my TRT at about 65. per month.

I would switch docs. Some docs are just there for $$, sounds like you have one of them. You know you have a good doc when you can be up front and honest with him. For instance, if you had a good doc you could tell him you are going to cycle. He would probably advise against it, but say if your going to do it at least let me monitor your blood work so we can make sure nothing bad is going on. My doc asks me what supplements I take when I go in and asks if it's ok for him to check my blood work out to make sure my liver is metabolizing everything ok. All is covered under insurance so it costs me nothing.
:) I would start shopping for a new doc ASAP.
