This may be a stupid question, but being a newbie...well:

Can I use this type of injection method? My wife had gestitational diabetes and we have a few of these unused lying around. I'm sure the answer is no, but doesn't hurt to ask... :)

But the answer is no! The guage is too small. These injects contain "oil" and that is not easy to push through a small pipe... Think of a golf ball sucked through a garden hose - it won't happen. 23g is in the right area at 1.5 lenght to get into the muscle and the push will be easier and less of a chance of tearing of your muscle, poping of the cap and losing your dose or the big ouch, the pin breaking off in your leg. The key to injecting, keep your muscles relaxed, the prick will only hurt for a moment - and don't insert slowly (or too slow), that only adds to the discomfort. A slow steady push of the plunger.... the pin goes straight in and straight out!

the higher the number in the guage, the thinner the tube, the lower the number, the wider the tube.
