I would like to hear opinions, based on experience, of which cycles gave the best gains that were kept/maintained .

First cycle definately. Basic Test at 500mg/week for 12 weeks.
Other than that I guess it will depend on your PCT, training and diet after the cycle.

"they" say gains on var are mild but permanent. I'll know for sure around may / june, a few months after my cycle ends :)

That is true - I ran a few Var only cycles to try it out without extra stuff and loved the results every time. Nowadays I only run it on cutting cycles though.

How many mgs and for how long on the var???
How many pounds did it add/keep?

First cyc i ran SUS 500/ wk for 10wks. 2nd cyc i ran SUS 500/wk for 10wks & 30mgs of VAR for 8wks... gained 22 lbs and only lost 10 after PCT. Definitely had alot more strength than my first cyc only running SUS 500 alone.

I grew mass on my arms, shoulder and chest that has laid a beautiful foundation. if this is your first, i would recommend the same.

test and eq i loved it never tried deca though but 500 test wk 1-14 or 16 and eq 1-12 or 14 at 400 got me great gains

14week cycle of sust 750mg and eq 400mg 40mg var on the last 6weeks. this wuz a good cycle for me. i didnt carry alot of water with a test like sust. the eq and var speak for itself. i got very hard and very strong fast. that cycle gave me all lean gains kept a 6pack all the way through. i only gained ten pounds on that cycle but they were all good pounds.
