I've been diagnosed with low testosterone and Dr. prescribed 200 mg test cryp a week.
Will I get any side effects from long term use? Should I take anything to prevent any side effects?
I feel great with the new program but I worry about the log term effects.

How long does the Doc want you to be on the Test?

Since my levels will never return to normal I guess it's forever.
That's why I worry about side effects.
On the other hand my test levels should only rise to high normal on 200 mgs a week. He said I should get back into the 1100 range.

At that dose you should be ok. I know some also take a small amount of Arimidex daily with their HRT.

Thanks for the response. How much Arimidex would you suggest?

i sure wouldnt run test cyp, i would use clomid and hcg, and i would use mild AAS that didnt shut down my nateral production, test cyp is going to shut your nateral production down hard, you need to try to stimulate your own nateral production, there is also a product in mexico that increases nateral production just as good as clomid and hcg, its called fertador/cyclofinel

Your doctor must have experience working with hormone replacement therapy and I am sure he can recommend something for sides or perhaps even change the drug. Another ester may be more suitable for you. Whatever is needed though your doc will get you.
I also wanted to ask you what your past history was like with AAS? If you don't mind discussing it, if not I understand. I just wonder if this is all a result of AAS use and think it is good to show members here what can result from not having a proper PCT in place. Good luck and glad you are getting help from your doc!

i think the only thing a doctor can give him is test, nothing else is fda approved, he sure as hell isnt going to get clomid, its only for women who cant get pregnant, ill never forget the time i told a doctor i took clomid he looked at me like i was nuts, if you go to your doctors asking for anything else he'll get offended then he'll document that you self perscibe, then every law enforcment officer and doctor in the united states will know your business, its all public record after that new bullshit law they passed, i personally stay away from doctors at all costs they are not to be trusted, they are snitches, you would be better off getting clomid and hcg from alin and just doing an array of AAS untill you find what works best for you

I was active in body building in my 20's and early 30's but NEVER used any gear. I was more into natural supplements; amino acids, carbo's bcaa's and such. I worked for a performance nutrition wholesaler so I had tons of the stuff a my disposal.
Back then I would have probably screwed it up because all the guys I knew at the gym that used gear really didn't know what they were doing. (Mid 80's early 90's) Most guys had lots of side effects and their usage was noticeable. I was afraid of some of the stuff that happened to them back then so I didn't juice.
The people on these boards have vastly superior knowledge of the physical aspects of safe usage than the users did back “in the old days”. Remember there was no internet back then. With the information I've learned on a few of these boards I could safely say I'd use them now because their is a real science to safe usage.
Back to my question: The doctor mentioned side effects, but didn't offer solutions on my visit. My next appointment is 3 months away so that's why I asked. I've found Dr. to not be all that knowledgeable when it comes to this subject.

That's my fear. Once you tell the Dr's their business they get very defensive like you're running some scam. I hinted at our last visit but he just shrugged it off and said we'll see you back in 3 months and check that out.
I'm just trying to stay healthy. You can't leave that all up to the Dr's.
Thanks for the feedback.

if your test was a unit of "300" when u were 20 yrs old and now it's a unit of "100" ... exogenously administereing "200" units to make it go back up isn't going to have any health risks imo ... of course ... your doctor knows best (but he's probably not as big and strong as i am!)

Nope...10 ml of Test Cyp and a scrip for needles. I had to just prove I could do the shots in the office and I was out of there. I go back every three months for blood work.
It wasn't easy to get to that point, I had to have many blood draws and appointments before that point. I also had a lovely prostate exam.
It's nice having the control with the home injections, but I also I worry about side effects I could start to have during the 3 months.

Why are everyone talking clomid.
Clomid gets my eyes blurry so I´d say go with Nolva or Tamoxifen
Nolva and tamox is the same thing, but in EU you will not find Nolvadex, it's called Tamoxifen or something like that.
But what they say here is the truth, stay away from those IM for now, try HCG, HGH and Nolva/Tamox.
feel free to read about HCG from the link I sent to you in PM

Thanks for the information.
I am wondering if there are any experianced HRT people out there who have used Tamox at some point in their treatment?

you wont find any doctors who will give you tamoxifen citrate, its only fda approved for women with breast cancer
i would ask the doc to give me a script for test undecanoate, even though its not available in the us, with a persciption it would be a legal inportation, it is the safest test by far
