Just about to start my first cycle so had my blood work done, and my muscle enzyme test came back with a high level of CK or creatinine kinase and its another 3 days before I can see my GP. Ive been taking diclofenac or naproxin on and off for the last month or so due to a tennis elbow injury, also my shoulder has had inflammation of the tendons and muscle for the past 3 weeks which has caused a bit of pain, but I am resting it now and seeing a sports phsyio before I start training again and obviously get it back to 100% before i begin my cycle.

Its been 6 weeks since I stopped taking creatine, taurine, bcaa and the rest of the usual supplements, so I could get a nice level playing field for my blood tests.

So has any body got any idea why my CK would be above normal??

Many thanks for any response:)

Here is a discussion regarding high CK on a medical board.

What were your scores. Some are posting as high as 18,000 for their levels.

Thanks for the link made an interesting read. Don't know what my exact level is wont find out until Monday, I was in to much shock to think on my toes, when the nurse on the phone talked of chest pains and heart attacks and heart damage I was a bit spun out, but as soon as she found out I was a body builder her concern seemed to lessen about it being serious...I hope, I'm one of the fittest guys I know!!!!

High is pretty normal for an athletically active person.
