This is for the new guys (and girls) from a new guy. I just want you all to know this site is the real deal and although they would be the first to tell you they are not doctors, some of the Senior Members and Moderators are among the best minds in athletics when it comes to the subject we are discussing. You will notice that in some areas of this site, on some days, there are some hard core responses to well meaning questions. I was so scared to ask a question that I finally just posted a private message to a member I did not know other than there judgment and mentality seemed to match mine, something I could only have learned by reading everything there is in this site from everyone. I know for a fact that the Senior Members and Moderators would like to know that those of us who are new to this site have, and are still doing our homework and our research. Every order question I ever had and bothered someone with answered itself in just a day or so. Patience really is the key. Certain “newbie” questions will not be answered if it is thought the persons question could be answered simply by doing the most marginal of research or reading an earlier post. They would also like us to remember the seriousness of gearing up, in other words running gear without the research and lifting experience. I personally have stopped any and all runs. I buy gear when I can so when I feel in my own mind that I have reached a position in my life and health to do it, it is not wasted. I have the greatest amount of respect for the people on this site. Anyone can try and sell stuff and care nothing for your own safety, but here, safety comes first! I do my best to read everything I can get my hands on in order to use the information these guys have to its fullest.
