Quick question for you guys. On howtodoinjections.com it says that using a 1/2" - 1" pin is acceptable for shoulder injections. Has anyone used a 1/2" before? That seems way too short to me. I dont like using 1" either as that seems long, a local pharmacy also carries 5/8" and I'll probably try picking those up. Even that seems short though. What are your experiences with this?
Thanks.

I've used a 1/2 slin pin to inject AAS in my delt before. 1 in pins work fine for me too but I think 3/4 would be ideal.

slin needle huh? that must have took forever. I rarely even use a 25g it takes so long.

Did the 1/2" work ok? 5/8" isn't much longer and i can't find 3/4" anywhere (I was thinking that would be ideal as well)

Bro, not to insult you, but if 1" pins are too long for your delts maybe you arent ready for AAS. I use 1" 25 gauge. Smooth as butta':)

I can handle the 1" no problem, it just occasionally feels like I am hitting something in there that I shouldn't. I weigh 240 pounds and my shoulders are actually my best body part. Its more a matter of comfort i think. I can do injections in the glutes all day long but when it comes to shoulders i just get bothered. the idea of a shorter needle make me feel better about it for some reason haha.

Be careful injecting the delts I was using a 1 inch an caught an infection in the left shoulder. I would only use the 1 inch at least you know your going into the muscle, make sure you clean the area I have been doing cycles on an off now for years an this is the first time I have ever got an infection.

I use 25g at the moment and no sweat, piece of piss. I've used 21g in the past and even a 19g.

Tough luck about that infection. Hope it clears up soon.

19 g OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I know. Stupid ass me wasn't paying attention until I was wondering why when the needle was going in it hurt so much. Looked down and seen the wrong color coded pin.:o What a douche.

LOL! I remember before I knew anything I was doing 20gauge to the quad without changing the pin after drawing!!! So it got slightly dull. I was always very sterile so no infections, but those hurt like a son of a whore:o

I use 1" 25 guage no problem. I've only shot into middle delts. I would like to try front delts sometime. I'll probably never try rear delts since I can't reach them.

not to hijack, but I've started delt injects (am using 22g 1.5", but only go in about 1")....my question is that I have bad joint pain in my right shoulder, but have noticed that for the next couple of days after the injection, using omnas right now, the joint pain subsides....I know that aas are not corticosteroids, but do they have some painkilling properties?

No they dont as far as im aware of! also i wouldn't suggest using a 1.5" needle then only going in a inch. Reason being is you want to bury the pin so it doesn't move in and out during injection. If you allow the pin the ability to move after you aspirate. You run the risk of pushing it in farther and hitting a vein. Just a little word for the wise

ya I know I'd rather use 25g 1", but those aren't in yet and I wanted to see how I could handle delts (getting tired of bruising my glutes and quads)

I did it in my shoulder one time and then months later I could not longer reach my shoulder
so my ass was the way to go!

no, it has nothing to do with size of a person or their delt. its about how much subcutaneous and fat tissue you have to pass to get into the muscle. if you have a thick layer of fat on your delt stick to the 1 inch.

i guess i worded it wrong! if u r 5/5 130 lbs with 5-6% bf i would say 5/8 would b ok I used em on me as a last resort & i am 5/11 230lbs with lots of scar tissue in my delts, wich brings up another good point, That scat t, can get in the way as well I would assume? u can run with it from here just my 2%;)
