View Full Version : Sick During Cycle

So I had just finished the 8th week of my cycle, was starting to seem some solid results (had gained 9 pounds). And all the sudden I get sicker than shit on Friday and end up puking all weekend, got no sleep, couldn't eat, etc.

Needless to say I am down 9 pounds and I look miserable.

Has anyone had an experience like this before? I am guessing the weight shouldn't be that hard to put back on but I am looking for any input that might help get me back on track faster.

Also, I've already finished up the d-bol for the cycle and have another 8 weeks left of test-e (500 mg/wk) and eq. (600 mg/week).

Thanks for any advice...

You probably have a bug that's going around or could be food poisoning, don't know where or what you've been eating. Drink lots of fluids, take some benedryl (for it's antihistamine properties and will help you sleep) and get some rest.

8 weeks into a cycle, 3 compounds, one of which is Dbol and you only gained 9 lbs? Does not seem right to me. What is your diet like?

I dont know what it is but for me I swear it just takes a while to see the gains. I posted a thread about 4 weeks in about getting no results. I had only gained 1-2 pounds. Things started to pick up though relatively quickly and I was really liking my results.

As far as diet, I try to get 300 - 350 grams of protein a day. Usually I hit that mark but not 100% of the time. I am getting about 4,000 calories a day.

I'm feeling a lot better now but worried about cramming down that much food. After how much I threw up its grossing me out to think of that happening again.

are you eating every 3 hours? What exactly are you eating? You should be gaining a lot of weight, at least more than 1 pound a week. Post your stats, pre cycle and now.

I eat whatever I can get my hands on :)

Lots of chicken, but ham and beef as well.

Pre Cycle - I was 231 pounds at 7% bf (caliper tested which i know itsn't completely accurate)

I was up to 240 but am now back down to 232 after a horrendous weekend. Haven't checked my bf since I started.

Also, I am 6' 4" so 230 is big, a not quite as big as 5' 8" 230.

It has to be your diet. I would post your exact diet. I'm sure you'll get good advice.

I'm feeling a lot better today. It was still tough to eat a lot. I just kept thinking about this weekend and it was making me nervous. Had a decent workout but people at the gym were noticing something was up. There is a big time amateur who works out at the same place as I do and he asked me if I had been on a starvation diet all weekend.

I wasnt really thinking that the juice had anything to do with making me sick, but the above post got me wondering.

Anyone got ideas for some food that might be a bit lighter on the stomach that I can eat for the next few days until I am 100%?

meal replacement shakes, protein shakes and lots of liquids. i think it will be easier on your system then solid food but there is no replacement for real food (which I know you know).
lots of water, drink lots

you never posted your diet so based on previous posts i'm going to conclude your diet prior to getting sick was seriously lacking. you should eat every 3 hours if you can

good luck, hope you feel better soon bro

Yafu - What do you do to include meals around workout time? I find it easy to get in a meal every 3-4 hours up until I workout.

Basically, I eat every 3-4 hours, last meal usually around 3:00 PM (I train like shit on a full stomach). I get to the gym around 5:00, by the time I am done lifting, showered, dressed, (you know the routine) its usually 8:00 PM. All of the sudden its been 5 hours since I have eaten. i usually have a huge meal but then try to go to bed before 10:00 which isn't giving me time for another meal. So in essence, I think I am missing out on 2 full meals a day.

Whats your thought on this? (and sorry if it is confusing)

I would take a protein shake with creatine about an hour before along with A banana or other fruit, and then take another shake right after your work out. I find it easy to to down the shake even if I'm not hungry...Works for me...

I think thats probably the best idea. I've already bought a blender for my office at work. Haha people complain everytime i use it. I'll definitely try drinking a shake before a work out. I have always enjoyed drinking them after, but dont think I have ever tried before. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the advice bro.

I also started logging my meals which helps me to remember to eat and makes it easy to now what I'm missing as far as protein, water, fiber etc....
I use Fitday.com to keep track of my diet know,,,,it's addicting and it works great.

I use a shaker from GNC its really quiet.. just add 12 to 16 oz of water and 3 scoops of eas with 40 grams of protein.
I think I'm going to start adding powdered eggs in with that....:)

I haven't tried the shaker cup for Protien yet. Tried it for N.O. Explode and Creatine and love it. Except it only worked for about a week and then started leaking everywhere.

I'm checking out this fitday site and I am glad you mentioned it. I will let you know how it goes.

^bump this

even if it's 2 hours I would still eat something before 1/2hour before I went to bed, nothing fatty but you're diet is lacking so much, try your best, you should get better results than your current plan

good luck, keep us posted and drink lots of water!
