hey all,
New question for all you veteran lifters, Can any of you recommend any suppliments that i can take besides sus to get more weight, Also to get more cut, My hopes are 260lbs and to get cut,
Also my biggest problem is trying to get a damn washboard, Can anyone recommend a regimen and excericise program to gain this,
I have a problem with my chest since a child where i cant lift over 150lbs for one reason or another. I asked my doctor why is this, he claimed that some peoples bone structures just cant hold alot of weight due to there bones..
I personally didnt know this exsisted, but it does none the less.
So does anyone know what i can do also to gain top chest area muscles. "Tittys" lol
Iam tired of looking like a chicken chest, Are there any lifts or things i can do to build up my chest that will gain me this area of muscle.
Well those are my faults i need to fix any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks all be well.
Rocky

You not being able to lift over 150lbs to me sounds like a mental barrier, but since I am not the doc who examined you I really can't say that for sure.
Need to know your stats in order to help you out more with training advice - weight, bf%, height, how many years of training, any cycles.

hey all,
... My hopes are 260lbs and to get cut, ...

First of all, try not to focus on doing both at the same time. Sounds to me like you want to get bigger and stronger first. That requires a totally different diet than cutting.

I believe in mind over matter...you put your mind to something and back it with your heart and guts...nothing else matters :)

nj,

Your description of your chest condition is a little vague, but there are 2 conditions that occur during infancy and childhood development that alter the normal shape of the chest and breastbone (sternum). They are pectus carinatum and pectus excavatum. Both are thought to be due to overdevelopment of the costal (rib) cartilages that attach to the sternum and cause the sternum to either buckle out (carinatum or pidgeon chest) or cave in (excavatum or funnel chest).

I recommend you check with your doctor or someone trained in anatomy to determine if you have either one of these conditions. But even if you do, you still most likely have the normal pec and chest muscles that everyone else does. It is just that the foundation from which they work (the ribs and sternum) may have been altered and possibly weakened. In that case, you would have trouble reaching maximum strength of the musculature due to the underlying bone deformity and weakness. However, usually by age 21 in males all the bones have ossified and reached maximum hardness and the cartilage will have stopped growing and hardened some. These conditions are also associated with scoliosis and Marfan's syndrome. Do you have either of those?

If you don't have either of these chest conditions and an x-ray of your chest, sternum, and spine is normal, then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to progress beyond your current level (assuming you are free of all other neurological and metabolic diseases).

bump to justbecause... this is soo true... always keep a positive mind frame , never ever say that you cant do something or you cant lift the weight.. we all had to start somewhere.. not everyone can go into the gym thier first time and put up 200lbs.. its something that takes hard work and dedication.. set small goals for yourself this way you wont be discouraged.. remember you have to crawl before you can walk... I myself could only bench the bar when i started and now my max is about 305 and it didnt take all that long to reach.. but it was no picnic getting there... nothing comes easy, if it did you wouldnt need the gym...lol as far as you cutting or bulking stick with one or the other because like justbecause stated it is two different routines and 2 different diets... bulking you tend to eat more calories and use less cardio (you need your energy) only doing about 30min of cardio about 3 times a week... and the opposite for cutting... less calories and carbs more cardio and alot of calistetics...
just my 2 cents.....lol
