Anyone use "PM proteins" or "nocturnal protein"? have been reading up a bit about them, just not sure if it all advertising crap. Could really use some first hand accounts of protein supplements. Any help will be greatly appreciated. West.

proteins come in different sizes, different molecular weights, the lower the molecular weight the smaller the protein, the smaller the protein the easier it is to digest, here are some molecular weights of proteins
human breast milk 400 mw
whey 600 mw
soy 1300
dairy 1800
many people do not digest dairy because of the mw, causes gas bloating, they call it lactose intollerant
whey is the best because of its small size, especially for infants, because its almost as small as breast milk
also when they dry the protein with heat it can become denatured, protein kind of has a tail and is rolled up, when denatured the protein uncoils, and is ruined, ion exchange drying does not uncoil the protein
if your going to buy protein buy whey protein that is dried by ion exchange, alot of outfits dont use ion exchange for drying because it costs alot more

Casein protein is good to take at night. It seems to coagulate when it hits the acidic environment of the stomach so it is slowly digested and absorbed. I've been taking casein for about a year now with great results. They sell it by itself and they also sell it in a mix of whey and other proteins.

Casein protein can be found in large quantity of milk and milk products. The single best source of Casein is whole milk. Drink alot of it. Richphilly is right. It keeps you proteined up at night very well. I drink milk and water nonstop all day and I drink about a third of a gallon within about 60 minutes of bedtime. Some times I drink weight gainer.

wholemilk and 2% are best because they trigger the gallblader to dump its bile, 1% and nonfat do not, you need that bile, also milk provides chelated calcium, all those calcium supplements dont work because there not chelated, you need that calcium to nuetralize acids in your body, thats why your body brakes down its own bones, for the calcium, people who eat alot of fish have little bone deterioration, because they are eating small amounts of bone unknowingly

oh i just caught on pm as in night time, i was thinking of some new brand name pm
this is what i do i eat flesh with a high fat content like beef before bed, this way ive got aminos in my bloodstream most of the night, at least 6 hours any way, in the morning i take a quality protein drink with whey protein, this way ill have aminos in my bloodstream in about 20 minutes, so if i have slept 8 hours i only went without aminos for 2.2 hours

I often mix my SynthePURE isolate in 2% or whole milk. Tastes great and you get the best of both worlds.
