question:
Have any of you had people come to you and say that they thought you had "changed" since you began AAS use? Changes as in less tolorant of others, more self centered, not as patient, or anything like this?
I was recently told I have changed by someone who's opinion I value. I think change is part of life, and yes I may have experienced all of the above (which alone is not neccessarily a bad thing...)
If any of you have gone through this I would like to hear about it. I dont want AAS use to change me as a person, and if they do I want it to be improvements not negative changes.
comments?

The only time people have said that to me is when I'm off cycle and back on my TRT dosage. I guess I feel better when my androgen level is higher than normal, even though I'm less tolerant of idiots. The people I hang around with are usually easy going, like I am, so there's never a problem with my attitude.

man i thought me and my wife were going to get divorced, last pin was dec 2nd about 6 months ago and she and other people said im alot more calm than when im on. but man i love the shit and the feeling. cant wait to start next cycle. everyone i talked to bout this says it in your head and temper can be controlled. dude i almost think the shit has made me manic depressant.
i have never had a real problem, however i am yet to venture into the higher dosages. could be dose dependant i dont know. If this person who you care about has told you this then make a conscious effort to change, i dont think you would have to stop taking AAS imo, now that you are aware you can change a little.
Oh and i think alot of people when you are taking steroids look for the oportunity to blame ones personality traits on the use of steroids.. yeah it might make you a bit snappy in certain situations but in that same situation if you were not taking AAS would you react the same.. I think to many people blame AAS for someones behavioue.. again JMO.

I definately became a lot more confident, self centered, and walked around like I was untouchable - my wit has always been pretty quick...but I seemed to have lost the filter between my brain and mouth and sometimes spoke out of turn...although it was funny.
Not sure if it's due to the chemical balance in my body or just because in general I felt great about myself and was making huge strides in something I take great pride in - ME!! :D
My wife definately noticed and so did my boss.
No aggression, temper, nothing like that - I felt too good to be angry.

I did have a significant personality change. Mostly for the better in that I became more determined, clearer minded, more focused on my goals. But I have to be careful not to blow though everyone around me in pursuit of my goals. It is easy to get lost in what you are trying to accomplish (in all areas not just weight lifting) and disregard those around me. I have been successful in tempering the effect and bringing out the positive effect.

i have always been easy going and very personable to others. i have always had a very outgoing friendly personality....until i ran a cycle which included tren. now i will certainly NOT attribute all changes in myself to the tren bc i was going through a huge change in my life at that same time. i had moved into the city (from the country), my g/f of 2 years went to europe to study for 4 months, started a job i hated (right out of good ol fun college) and didn't know ANYONE. so needless to say i became OCD at the gym and depressed as fuck. now im absolutely intolerant of stupidity, im not nearly as sociable, and definitely not happy. theres no way that aas caused this change but i do feel that there was some attribution to that during the huge change in my life.
however, prior to that one particular cycle, i had ran mostly test and sometimes test/eq or test/winny cycles and they made me feel great. loved life, happy all the time, easy going, never aggressive except when a weight was in my way and i know it changed me for the best. being happy and confident in your body certainly helps feeling the same in life.

Yes I do change.
I have less anxiety, less self doubt, and more confidence.
If I'm not careful that can lead to less tolerance, less "give", and less understanding.
So good and bad changes, one stemming from the other.
But,knowing ahead of time how I will feel allows me to recognize when I'm feeling headstrong, put it away, and focus on enjoying that calm happy feeling.

I'm actually much more easy going when I'm on, my wife says I'm more hardcore when I'm off, as far as attitude. I have always been one with a BAD temper, but when I'm on it very seldom rises. Now when I'm off my temper is still as bad as ever. though it's harder to provoke me than it used to be. It doesn't really vary by compound either, I mean I'm a bit edgier on Tren, but to no great degree. i think alot of it is in your head and if you take yourself wayyyyyy to seriously.

I am the same way. When on cycle I do have a shorter fuse when it comes to idiocy, but overall Im a happier funner person to be around when I am on, and loved ones notice that as well.

I can be like that on or off just depending on the day. I'm a very confrontational person but on AAS I notice I'm a bit more. I don't think thats necessarily a bad thing. Its hard for me to say. I'm not around a lot of people who know me well and most the time I'm by myself.
I think AAS is good for a guy like me. I'm not the most naturally confident person so I'm hoping AAS can help a little.

i have only recently started a cycle and have been on now for four weeks. it was hard for my body to adjust the first two weeks and i noticed a shorter fuse. but after my body had adjusted to it, it has only improved my outlook on life and others say that my attitude is much better than it has been. i am just getting over some relations bullshit that was thrown on me and feel that the cycle is helping me focus on other things than that.

Amen to the above - The wife told me last night actually that she was about fed up with my snappy remarks. I am off and on TRT now - and she says I just belittle her all the time - but I see it as her asking stupid questions and making stupid remarks. I'm much more pleasant to be around when I'm on - I just seem to let things roll off of me more easily. This is a good thing - considering I'm on more than off usually:D

good stuff guys.
I am on cycle and I dropped my test a bit, I say it was 750 but in reality is was closer to 900. You know how it is, "whats one nore tick on the syringe and, oh yeah, I know some gets left in the needle so I'll go two ticks higher and fuck it, whats one more notch up??"
so I dropped my dose to an actaul 700-750 and I do feel a bit better, not as edgy. I noticed overall I feel better. I posted a while back where I "lost it" when that punk took my parking spot (I was obviously deranged..) but when I thought it through thats really not me at all, and recognizinig this (now that someone said I have changed) it was a signpost without a doubt. I'm not looking to fight anyone, jesus those days are past me (but still it's good to know I can put the fear of god into a punk like that..:D)
I am cocky, feel great about myself, and know I look good. In that way I have changed since I started AAS. I think others get envious, or somehow look for faults now that I have changed my physical appearance.
thanks for all the input.

lol thats funny. people just wanna buy into the media and believe everything they say because it's easier for them that way. it's funny, everyone seems to be an expert on AAS and they've never even experienced it. i'm more calm and collective when on cycle for sure. i think a lot of it is people's jealousy and insecurities that makes them put the use of AAS down so much.

JEALOUSY - Come on Freak - Haven't you been reading the "Girls don't like big muscles" thread. You have nothing to be jealous of - I mean - girls don't like big muscles - right???
Insecurities is on the money...I get the ugliest looks in big crowds that I have to wade through. It's like having a 2'9" door to go through and you're 3' wide. But the funny thing is -- A scrawny ass dude can wade through and bump everyone on the right and left of him and no one looks even remotely odd at them - I go through and turn side ways - hold my arms up -and say excuse me and every body looks at me like I just kicked their dog. INSECURITY
Now bump this to people you are familiar with and instead of the ugly looks - you get the "you have changed, you weren't always this rude" And I look them straight in the eye and tell them they didn't always give a shit.

On cycle I feel a little more tensed up and less patient in general but I control myself nicely. People do comment I look sharper (my eyes that is as if I'm more aware of my surroundings).
This cycle people began telling me my face looked different and my jaw a lot squarer. Some people even said I don't look like myself anymore and that something about me is different. I find this weird!

I am outspoken and tell it how it is or at least how i think it is. I have always been like this on or off. Everyone knows i am an asshole and I have been called ("the coolest asshole" if there is such a thing.) Temper issues only happend 1st couple cycles way back in my years around 23. For whatever reason I had an explosive temper. After a brief road rage incident i realized i just needed to chill the fuck out. I have done about 4-5 cycles since and have been fine. I think the only diffrence is I get more absorbed in the gym while on and i pick on my guy friends for being feeble.
Just try to look into yourself cause your the only one who can control your actions..and yes everyone changes with age my friend. That's why people grow apart.

When on a cycle, my loved ones have told me that I am self-centered and think I have changed. I find myself not so headstrong off a cycle. I do believe tren causes me the most aggression than anything. I am obviously more confident on a cycle, but who isn't?
My girlfriend knows when I am on or off, I tend to be a bit jealous when I am on.
I worked as a bouncer when on and when off, i find myself more patient with drunk idiots when I am on. When I am off, I get really pissed off and annoyed.
I guess it really depends on the mood. The media can't be certain that one aggression is from a supplement. I know a lot of people who have the opposite effects as me. It's varies on the people, and each person needs to realize what kind of person they are before going on. People need to see how they are. A lot of the crap that media portrays comes from young adults who think they are the shit when they are on. And that is why young adults and young men should not be using it. Their maturity level isn't near who someone in mid 20's and above.
I haven't met a pro IBFF bodybuilder that was not super nice. Dexter Jackson was hilarious and a very kind man, and Jay Cutler was very cool just probably annoyed by the media and people coming up to him. All of the pro bodybuilders have a great personality and are uplifting.
I can't see why something could make someone be a certain way. Some people shouldn't use AAS because they have problems and aggression issues as it is. Just need to see what kind a person is and the maturity level. If you know what you are getting yourself into before hand, then you know the risk involved. Too many ignorant people using products because they only see the aftermath of what is involved. They only see the gold, and not the bits of pieces that it takes to reach the prize.

You ever fuck for a long time.... hold back so you don't nut.... fuck some more... hold back so you don't nut..... then fuck some more and nearly cover your girl in a gigantic wad of goo?
Stay with me....
I have a theory on weightlifting all together. I think...
When you do the type of exercise most of us do, you put your body under a large amount of stress. Not so much that your fight or flight response is activated, but just enough to prime the pump. The more you go at it, the more you build up. You never really activate the response but the steam is building up. When you do get into a situation, you end blowing your load. The physiological response is so much that you are nearly incapable of handling the load of adrenaline (epinephrine) that have been activated. Sort of like a short-term hulk episode or like the mother that rips the car door off to get her baby in the midst of an accident.
AAS or not, most lifters I know personally have a good deal of patience but when you light the fuse, it is best to run!

I dont want AAS use to change me as a person, and if they do I want it to be improvements not negative changes.
comments?
thanks guys:cool:
i had a significantly shorter temper than usual and sometimes completely lacked a sense of humor. It was this null and void feeling i'd get while juicing up. None of it was permanent though.

i believe you do become a bit more self centered may be because of the way you look not the juice at all.if you can control your anger off riods then you should on riods although i tried tren just to experiment and it made me way more aggressive and i got a bit pissed off more easy but thats bout it nothing i cant control.
I tend to be more outgoing and talkative.

Mostly temper/temperment... ex. patience with my daughter... driving on the road... waiting in line.... things of that nature...
Not yelling or cursing at people just my body language in those situations that people have noticed...
But as everyone has said, I feel like da man when I am packing with gear... just those situations I have gotten feedback...

I went on TRT about 5 months ago and my wife has noticed a big change in me. She say's I've become more calm and patient with our kids. I guess before I used to always be in a hurry and now I have more of the attitude of relax we'll get there when we get there. Guys at work have even said I'm more focused.
