View Full Version : Did I ruin my HCG?

Ok, so I am like 5 weeks into my cycle, and I think its time to start some HCG at 500 IUs / E5D.

So, I draw up 1ml BA water into a slin pin from a vial of BA water. Then, I break the top to the HCG amp, inject the water in, let sit, and swirl for a bit. Then, I draw up this solution into another needle (25G, 1 inch), and inject it into another sterile vial for storage in the fridge.

Here is my question: I noticed at the bottom of the HCG amp, there were some broken fragments of glass, from when I opened it. Is this normal? Cause I don't wanna be injecting little glass fragments into my body. I looked in the 25g syringe (which was holding the HCG / BA water solution) before injecting it into the sterile vial, and it looked ok, but I don't know. This is my first experience with amps in general (I am a Balkan Pharm guy), so I really didn't know what to expect.

No, broken glass in a amp is not normal. You can either try to draw some without getting some glass, or toss it. Those are your only two options. Problem is sometimes glass can be so fine that you can;t see it. Choice is yours.

K, I'm gonna toss it, no doubt. I have an extra amp of HCG anyways. Is there a special way to break the amp so that this doesn't happen again?

Hold on for some other replies, some other members may have a better answer for you.
Score the neck of the amp before breaking, nail file works good.

I doubt you will draw glass with a 29g slin pin which you will be using to inject it.

i have used vials many times and had accidently had some of the glass break inside of the vial. i have never had any problems but won't say that one couldn't arise.

Use a filter and refilter it, won't have any glass in it then
