Ive found that the way to great abs is #1 diet and cardio and #2 ab training...

if you want to have long flat abs, do high rep exercises ie regular crunches, leg lifts ect ect ect with high reps 20-40

if you want thicker abs treat them like you would with any mother muscle your trying to make bigger... ie wieghted crunches, cable crunches, gravity boot crunches... with low reps like 8-12

Everyone has abs, its just that they have fat over them, so they build up their abs over and over and over agin and then they just have big abs under a bunch of fat, it can make them look worse, there is no such thing as spot reducing fat (except for mesothearapy and liposuction)... so a big key to having killer abs lies in a proper diet and cardio regamine to eat away fat from the waist and love handle areas.

I personally hit abs once a week, and they get worked as a core mucles in many of my other exercises through the week.

Bumpin TSK4LIFE, its all about diet and cardio. He's right about the workouts as well, go heavier weight if you want thicker abs

Bump Bump Bump! So many people think they have to do crunches to get the abs when in fact they just need to lose weight. Doing ab weighted stuff will get you bigger muscles in the abs but you still need to lose fat usually. I know from exp.

who else besides me wants to strangle these people on tv who say that "my ab blaster2000 made me loose 5 inches and 20lbs!" having great abs is all about diet and cardio as stated numerous times already, the hundreds of ab machines out there dont have a thing in relation to fat loss. hell they make these machines so easy to do now your body is doing more work than the abs. you dont ever see these people getting that deep burning pain that comes from a good crunch.

I have huge abs from squats and just core exercises, I work out my abs 1 day a week... I have really large obliques as well, ive found that wearing a belt when deadlifting and squating helps keep them a little under control... I like the v-build... Frank Zane style

Cardio and diet are crucial. Clenbuterol and T3 will help burn BF%.
