Got some bad news last night. Shot 3ml of BD Primo on Sunday, on Monday noticed some swelling on the small of my back....got progressively worse, went to the doc on Wed...got a huge abcess in my lower back.Gave me an injectible antibiotic, and a weeks worth of some hi powered oral anitbiotics. Got to go back in a 5 days to see what's up with it. She marked the area with a Sharpie and told me to watch it, let her know if it got any bigger immedatley if I noticed it.

I've had knots on my ass before, but never anything like this. Any ideas as to what might have caused it? Never used BD before, but I understand it's some of the best UG gear out there.Maybe because I shot 3ml? Everything was clean, just showered, wiped my glute with alcohol....textbook injection as far I could tell.

It Takes longer than 3 days for an abcess to form Bro.

Any ideas what it might be? I'm pretty concerned. Was thinking about coming clean with my doc, but I'm kind of nervous about having documented steriod use on my medical record.

What do you think?

You should have just told them what was up. It is confidential and the doc could give you better advise on what was up with your bod.

i agree with tyrone. and im a little confused with the swelling on the small of your back, how does that happen? abcesses occur in injection sites which would be your glute, not 4 inches away. maybe it isnt an abcess. arent abcesses caused only from injections? how could you doc not know that your using. she didnt question if youve been injecting? i didnt know that doctors were allowed to give out injectable substances other than insulin or unless its life/death situation.

Have you ever shot this Primo before? Could be a reaction to the ba. I would hold off on telling the doc at this point. It is not necessarily confidential information. If he puts it into your medical file then your insurance company will see it. Give it a few more days and see what happens..........

Can you ask if that part remain confidential or do they have to put that for their own legal purposes?

I have 2 doc's that know I am on gear one by home and one by my work. There has never been a problem with my insurance and they don't judge me they just make sure I get fixed. I have had an infection in my arm and a hematoma under my sciatic. It is better to be safe, cause they can treat it right. You might not even need antibiotics, doesn't that make your gear useless because it stops protein synthesis or something. I read a post in here about not to take antibiotics while on gear I believe Mick posted it under my thread "Painful injection sight". Hope this helps bro.

Thanks for all the responses....I'll let you know what comes of it. I called it an abcess, because they called it an abcess, but it's kind of different. It's like I'm holding a lot of water around my lower back, and just above the crack of my butt it's swollen, red and kind of warm to the touch. Guess if it doesn't improve by my follow up appointment, I'll have to come clean.

information that you give to your doctor regarding any substances you may be on or any other info is strictly confidential by law. the law regards this doctor patient relationship as sacred as your pastor or lawyer in that it is of utmost importance that your communication with your doctor, clergy or lawyer is vital to the service that they provide. if you were up on murder charges and you told your lawyer that you did do it they are still restricted to keep that information a secret between the two of you and he is still obligated to serve your best interests fully. these peole who put themselves in positions of confidence are required by law to keep any info you give them secret unless you instruct them to do otherwise with it. if they violate this law they are subject to losing their license and positions forever, as well as any civil penalties ($$$) imposed by a court when you sue their asses.

so be honest with your doctor and if they can't find the understanding to assist you in being safe with your use, find someone who can.
