ok im over 40yrs, good shape good workout routines, injured my bicep at the lower part where it connects to the ulna, cannot do any bicep curls without pain, any sudden movement and the pain is stabbing and will stop me in my tracks, tried to take a ten pound dumbell to see if i could work out some of the soreness, but third left up and pain is bad, tried ice for first two days, no help, tried heat and stretching for 3 days no relief, rested the whole body for a week, bicep still seeems to be at the same level of injury. Anybody have any advice, or remedy, I will try anything short of voodoo and shaking some chicken bones over the injury, thanks

go see a doctor. its not worth hurting yourself permanantly. Get it checked out. you probably just need to take a break and let it heal. sounds like something that happened to me years ago. i just took a break for about 3 weeks

Perhaps rest, no workouts for 1 wk, light stretching, Aleve or Ibuprofen. If not better, see a doc.

I say you haven't given it enough rest. Go with sTaTic's advice.
