P.O Box vs. home address

I've read so much about using a home address vs. using a P.O. Box when ordering that my head is starting to spin.

The most reputable mods have such differing opinions on this subject.

What are some of your thoughts?

Ship to the home dude.
Better to be safe, sometimes I dont think the post office will leave the package at a PO Box.
Shipped to the home address my last order came within 2 weeks.
