I have a mailbox in my community that is a cluster box. Basically there are 10 boxes and you are assigned a number for your house and I have a key to get my mail. My question is that considered a PMB? Can I opt to sign for my postcards and just by having the mailman put it in my box that is considered a signature and I don't physically have to sign for it.

Thank you,
gscott

Some of the mailbox shops will sign for you upon delivery and then stick in your box.

Thanks Alin the only thing this is my actual home addy mailbox through the USPS. Maybe I should call the local post office that controls the mail to my area and ask them. If there is anyone out there that has the same type of mailbox let me know. If you live in Vegas everyone has them so any members from Vegas?

If its a standard community mail box ( usps ), The postal carrier (usps) will deliver the package to your door for signature. If there is no one there to sign, a delivey notice will be left, and it will be left at the post office for you to pick up and sign for the package. If you open a box a at postal service(where you actually rent a box), They will usually sign for the package and leave it in the box..

I do have a PO Box but I have postcards coming to that box that I have been waiting over 7 weeks for that I think got seized so I can't use that addy anymore. I have to figure something out so I can get them to me faster. I can't wait this long anymore.

Thanks,

Gscott,

I have the exact same type of mailbox, one community Big Box on the corner and then for example I am box number 14. No that is not considered a P.O. Box they are usaully inside UPS stores or The Post Office. I had my postcards sent to my address (home physical address) I was not home the mailman left a pink card saying they have a package signature required. Went to the Post Office showed ID and they gave me both postcards. By the way if you miss the mailman they will reattempt to deliver 5 days later and then send back the package 15 days after the intial delievery attempt.

I talked to my postal carrier today. She said if I would put the signed notice back into my post box, she would redeliver a leave in box.. Just a thought<<<<
