Hubbie just called. Went to the doctor for hemorrhoid problem. Went to doc a few months ago when it first showed up. This week, after major weight on the rack and bars, it came back...with a vengance. The doc said he was kinda surprised that it was that bad

SOOOO...he wants to surgically remove it. Hubbie is still on cycle, almost towards the end. The doc doesn't know about the cycle though.

My question is...what do we do? It is an outpatient procedure and they do put him under.

Anybody???

Tattered, I just don't understand your posts anymore. That doesn't make any sense. Stop posting just to post, and rethink your logic.

I have had them myself, and the show their ugly head every once in a while. The decision would be if he wants to go ahead and have it done now or not. Keep in mind a couple of things. Hemorroids are brought on my a number of things, but mainly pressure. Mine first started acting up 10 years ago when I would do heavy squats. They are a pain in the ass littorally. They can also be brought on my spicey food, and or high protein diet. What he has to realize is that while on AAS or Test, you are more prone to scarring and/or keloiding. This could basically render the operation useless because he will have the hemorroids fixed, but he may have an obtrusive scar that causes him discomfort. As with all procedures, I would suggest he be honest with his doctor, tell him what he is doing, and see if he has any further instructions or concerns. I am not a doctor however, so I cannot comment diligently on the anesthesia and any reactions, but I would guess, and this is only a guess, that it would not get in the way. Again this should be consulted with a doctor to find out the truth, because AAS changes a number of things especially blood pressure. You don't want to take a day or a couple of days off from work to go to the hospital for an operation, to find out the Anesthesiologist will not put him under because he needs approval from your family practitioner that he can handle the operation and recovery because his blood pressure is too high. It has happened alot of times, my wife works for a plastic surgeon, and they have sent people home for approval scripts to cover their ass in case of a problem.

finish the cycle, or stop the cycle, there is no point in juicing if you cant lift, and he wont be able 2 lift for at least 10 -14 days, the juice wont interfere with the surgery , if anything it will speed up his recovery time

Kaiser, thank you...the response I was looking for was from someone that has experienced this problem and how they handled it. The bad thing is, there is nothing over the counter that helps it. The doc already said that it would be temporary and that he could expect to get it again...thus it seems that the surgical route is almost pointless.

As you said, it is a literal pain in the ass. This whole cycle has been a disappointment from the get go. It seems that there is a set back every two weeks....never ending

By the way, I saw Simone's pic on another site...she's hot!!!! ;)

Yeah, I never did get the operation though, but it does suck. The pain sometimes gets excruciating. Believe it or not, I never found that Preparation H and the other hemorroid OTC meds helped at all. What I did find worked the best was Neosporin With Maximum Pain Relief. That usually shrunk them down in a half a day and took away the pain in the ass... hehe :o Jeeeze this is so embarrising talking abouty this...

Thanks for the wifey comments. She is a hottie... I got lucky... When do we get some pics of you? ;)

my logic is, I thought JC wanted to know how her husband could maintain the most of his gains b/c surgery would put a halt on his lifting. going straight t PCT, and having surgery he will lose everything. he may gain a little weight if he stays on thru the surgery, but he will keep his muscle size.

Don't be embarrassed...It is funny and makes me laugh...my husband doesn't think it's funny...so I try to be sympathetic with him....you understand :p

I am doing the before and after pics. Seriously started in January...so I have a little way to go before I am ready for my next pics. I have been on a roller coaster of diet and exercise for years...needless to say, I let myself get way off base...so I have a lot of hard work ahead of me. I am not taking gear or anything ... yet ... so I will just be all natural for a while.

Hehe, when I read your reply, I saw "I am doing the before and after pics.", hehe, and I thought you were talking about your husbands newfound friend!

Anyway, glad to hear you are doing well. BTW, which pics did you see? Her nude ones we had from St. Martin?

He should be fine, but may wait until OFF to have surgery. I believe the procedure uses "light" sedation. Typically a demerol/versed combo.
