amps

I have used vials many times but never amps. I am going to order amps next time and would like to know if I should be concered about glass slivers getting into the syringe. Should I order a syringe filter? I have read many threads here but don't remember this. Thanks, almost newbe Plug

No Worries. Get an amp opener, no filter necessary. After using amps, I now prefer them.

Unclev, I bought one of those amp openers and had a worse time opening than by hand. Now I don't even score them, I just put a paper towel over the top piece, wiggle back and forth gently, and then a quick snap, getting easier every time. :)

I always just score it and then use a pen cap to snap it off. Works great for me.

BTW I don't score them I just use the tool the tool to put a little leverage on it and to keep me from cutting my fingers. With or without the opener amps are not hard to use. There is a learning curve but it is a short one..

I think I paid $8 for it at GPZ and used it once...I'm sure it's a handy device if you can master it, but for me I had no luck. What can I say, I'm just a newbie at heart. :D:D

Not me...

amps are a pain in the ass IMO. and I have a boat load of stealth and a dozen 10 ml sterile viles so I'm all set. I used IP prop amps for a quick bulker pre surgery and was reminded how much of a pain in the butt those freakin amp are:cool::cool:

I don't score the amps...I jst snap the neck off. I don't even nother using a towel. Maybe Ive had good luck. Ive only had a couple break on me......but no biggee.

My first two or three, I grabbed the tops and they shattered between my fingers, bleeding everywhere....guess that chronic masterbation had developed a kung fu grip! :D:D:D
