does anyone have this problem? my biceps is increasingly getting stronger both in size and strength but both my wrist could not support the amount of weights when I'm doing dumbell curl. does anyone think this is a sign to a wrist injury if I continue to workout aggressive?

weak forarms and wirst. do wrist curls, reverse curls, hammer curls, grip exercises. these all will help. tell me, how much weight can you hold on a barbell?

A little easy way to cheat this is by using wrist straps!!!! i had to do this when comin of a broken hand!! My wrist was so weak from not being used for 3 weeks!!!!

imo - straps = small, weak forarms..

I agree. but u know what, I had been doin wrist curls and hammer curls as u said, but I'm not seeing any result at all , compare to working with dumbbell curl. In fact I only see result in my forearm size when I'm working biceps. Ain't that ironic? In respect to your question I can go 4 set of 10 reps on 60Ib dumbells on each hand. for triceps above my nape I can go upto 85Ib 2x10.

hey lola, your avater explain exactly what I mean. I feel like my biceps can handle that kind of weight if my wrist was a little thicker. LOL

BUmp ya Lola!! Forearms are like any other body part, train them or they will be lagging. Add forearm work to your Bicep routine, like calves often get added to legs.

don't mind about my grammar, lunny14477.
if u can get the meaning of what I intended to say, that's what count most. if u can not, i guess u should spare yourself on some other issues imporrtant to u.

when you do curls, snap your wrist back and forth as well to each motion of the curl, this will further strengthen your wrist and build the forearm.. also genetics are a key role into this all as well..

i've always had strong forearms, my link below shows some pics of how they dev throughout the cycle more and more. Forearms are def a must have muscle when doing preacher curls esp. and other excersises.

i know man believe me my fores were huge when i played hockey now forget it im embarrassed to even measure them...alone, in the dark where i cant even read the tape....lol....i use wrist straps so nothing else suffers but their getting there i bought a grip master which is cool i just do it when i got nothing to do at home...and starting to really train my fores gotta make another stick with a rope and a plate tied to it that shit was the best did that when i played hockey so my wrist and snap shots were faster

i doubt you fuckers will believe me, but i don't think i've ever in my life done any kind of isolated forearm exercise. i really don't do any bicep work except for heavy rows and upperback training. i did spend my entire childhood running a saw, dragging brush, and hauling wood, so that might have somethin to do with it.

oh and by the way......thanks to the EQ i'm runnin, i've got some freaky fuckin garden hose vein comin out the bottom of my right forearm, and i got one really screwed up one in my left bicep. i'm startin to look like Bane from batman, no shit haha. maybe i should post this in my cycle thread
