I'm hearing so much about diet...help me out....what are the best foods to eat t/o the day ...and what foods should I stay away from...thank you

well it depends on what your goal is, personally when i bulk, there isnt a whole lot that i wont eat. i stay away from high sugar/saturated fat foods and snacks but i have a few cheat meals in there too. anything high in protein or complex carbs is game.
when dieting try to get all of your carbs in before 6-7pm, thats what i aim for, maybe a few (5-10g) after that but defintly not before bed. just eat clean, stay away from fried, oily foods. try to make all of your meals from fresh foods, nothing processed or frozen dinners. before you put anything into your mouth be sure to read the nutritional facts, because a lot of times that will make you change your mind on whether or not you should eat it.
dont go crazy though, allow yourself a cheat meal, or high carb day every once and a while, i aim for once a week. there is a few websites that have nutritional facts for just about anything you could think to eat, including fast food joints.
