Like a treadmill. ...but in ladder form. Just like you'd keep walking on a treadmill, on this you keep climbing.

I built a Jacob's Ladder when I was a kid but never brought it into a gym. :D

It looks interesting, but also like a simple slip could twist an ankle.

Jacobs ladders are insane, my brother used to have one in his gym. They are alot tougher than any other form of cardio IMO. Great for doing circuit training and when you need to get cut up quick, but way to intense for LI cardio while bulking.

It looks like it's as grueling as those stair steppers, not the wimpy ones but these:

So its something like Vertical mountain climbing on a machine??? If it is what I'm thinking I've only seen it on American Tv but working out on it must be brutal! Don't think we get those around here!

No shit! I worked out another gym across town for a few days last week and someone was using one and it scared the crap out of me! I hate cardio to begin with but I will have to give a try in a couple days.

Jacobs ladder ? They should have called it the shin ladder. :D:D:D

The first time you get tired and your foot slips off, look out ! (ouch)
Dont worry you will get over the pain in a couple of weeks. :D

Actually there is a belt you wear with a cord attached to the thing so if you near the bottom it shuts off.
