View Full Version : Leakage After Injecting...

Recently (the last 3 or 4 times) after injecting I have been getting a small amount of oil leaking out of the injection site when I pull the needle out. Why is this?

It's not enough to be worried about wasteage as such, just a small trickle, but it never used to happen and I thought it only happened when you didn't hit the muscle properly and did a SubQ injection... I have been injecting the same as I ever did, using 1" pins on delts and pecs so I am pretty certain I am getting well into the muscle.

Is this anything to worry about (I know it's not a health issue, I just mean worry in regards to maybe not getting the full effect of the shot) or is it normal?

Cheers...

why not in the glutes? it goes deeper, especially if you used 1 1/2 pins.
are you fully injected before slowly removing pin from injection site?

I do use glutes sometimes, I have only got 1" pins right now though, and I find delts and pecs easier.

i agree, injecting glutes is alot safer and with 1 1/2 pins is the way to go.thats how i do it.

You never rotate injection sites?

a tiny bit of leakage is normal...hold a a sterile pad on it for a sec after the injection to catch any blood and or leakage...yer not wasting that much gear when it leaks a little

I get this pretty often with an injection specially when I borrow a 20ga. cannon meant for my livestock :D Z-tracking works great - pull the skin tight with yer free hand when ya stab the needle in - when ya let it go it slides back over the area where you injected, sealing it.

inject the juice just a little slower, and ive found that if you slowly pull out the needle and immediately put a swab/cotton bud over the injection and press firmly, there is usually no leakage.

Hey bro last cycle i was doing the same thing. It started in the last couple of weeks. It pissed me off cause i was like "how am i brickin on all of these," not to mention you know when you see a little gear come out your in for some pain in the next couple of days. I found out that it happens alot and that its mostly due to scar tissue. The best advice i ever got was to do as many injection sites as possible. This will help with the tissue breakdown!! good luck bro and do try to warm it up, inject slow, and when done injecting hold it there for an extra 30 seconds and let all the oil disperse.

it happens don't worry about it. The z track method that a previous poster mentioned is the only sure way to prevent it.

Inject slowly, 2cc's should take at least a minute to disperse somewhat. Also, it sound weird, but leave the pin in for 5-10 seconds before pulling out, especially with thin oil. Then immediately press a cotton swab on it with pressure. But DONT massage, it will make it really sore;) Good luck bro,

I started out with 1" 22 ga. pins for my first few cycles and used to get a lot of leakage. Now I use 25 and 23 1.5in pinz and I usually don't get any. Z track helps too. All shots were in the glute.

Yeah, I think I figured what it is... I always inject slowly, and leave the needle in for 10 - 20 seconds afterwards, but after that I usually just whip it out... After slooooowly taking the needle out, no leak. :D
