I just injected 3cc's into the glutes and as soon as I was finished there was immediately a firm little lump there. So my question is, could that be injecting into building scar tissue or is it something like the needle is not long enough? And if it is the length of the needle, how much would I be losing out on by not getting deep enough (using 1" pin). Also, could it just be that 3cc's is a lot for one area and its gotta disperse over time?

If you have low body fat 1" would be ok, but many prefer a 1.5" pin for glutes. Shooting 3cc is a good bit, make sure you inject very slowly next time, and that should help.
i have done 4cc before in my glute with a 1.5 however that was sore for a while.. depends how big the muscle is and how much BF you have

3, and 4 cc's in one injection is crazy to me! About the most I have injected in one shot was 2/cc. 1inch needle is marginal. I would stick with 23G / 1.5inch needles. Much much better. I will let you know that when I first started injecting myself I had a big scare. I had always been injected by a trainer, and I knew what my rotation would be, but I injected into my glute, and didn't quite make it into the muscle. This cause a huge infection in between my glute muscle and fat tissue. I ended up in the ER having a plastic surgen (Friend of the gym owner that worked out at the same gym I did) lance my butt open and squeez out all this puss that looked like mashed potatoes!
Conclusion: Make sure you get it in the meat,... and let it flow...real slow.

you wont be losing any gear if you dont inject deap enough. you body will just take longer to absorb it

I inject 3 cc's every single shot. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you are sore, did you massage? If so, DONT. Never massage an injection site. Something I found very effective in preventing pain while injecting 3 cc's is take a ten second break every 1/2 cc during the shot. This gives the oil time to get to the muscle without pooling up.

3cc is fine in the glute! use a 1.25 or 1.5 pin on the glute.

I've been considering hitting the pecs with a 5/8" 25ga pin, what size will you be using?

It isnt sore, my question was just based on the fact that as soon as I pulled the pin out i had a lump a little larger than a pea already. So my concern was just if I hadnt injected deep enough and the gear built up in that area.

I thought the pec injects were the easiest of all... I use a 23 gauge 1.5" but just cut the front 1/2 of the cap off so the needle is around 1"... I like it because you can see exactly what your doing, and make sure the needle doesn't move..

I transition to prop ed in a week, I'm thinking of hitting pecs just to see how I like it. Last prop cycle I just hit quads, glutes, and delts, but I wouldn't mind a fresh area.
