Looking for a couple more ideas.
I have been following these boards for a while now - Purchased from Alin 4 or 5 times - Been Hitting Free Weights for about 20 years - So I am not a newbie - but would not dare consider myself a vet.

I am 32 years old - 6 foot - 235 pounds - and cannot shed the pooch around my bottom abs. I have been through countless cutting cycles - Calorie restricted diets - low carb diets - You name it - and it won't leave me. Can't pinch skin anywhere else on me. I have a flat stomach but long for the coveted 6 pack. I hit my abs hard 4 days a week - doing heavy weighted crunches, weighted leg raises, ex. But my abs seem to get bulkier & thicker rather than cut. I know this seems like a stretch asking for advice on what to do (sorta like my old lady asking for the thousandth time which color looks best - its a staple - keep working at it) but I have been striving for so long with least results - ANY IDEAS??

meso therapy or liposuction.

Some people are stuck with an area that just wont go away no matter how low the BF... if you low bf%'s (sub 8) and the abs still arent showing then you are just genetically pre-disposed to hold it.

There's your problem in bold. Here's your solution.
1) If you really wanted them, do them everyday. Morning and night. Or at the least, once a day.
2) Drop the weights for flatter abs or use light weight (max 10 lbs.)
3) When doing abs, do them like supersets. Go from lower abs, to upper, to lower, etc (Example: Leg lifts, to crunches, to twists, bicycle kick, to shoe lace touches, to hanging legs raises, to obliques crunches, and so on)
4) After doing all those as one big superset, take 1 minute break and do them again. Try to work up your sets. You may can only do one complete set now, but later it can be 3 or 4 sets. If you do them right, you will sweat a lot and your heart rate will be up like doing cardio.
5) After abs, do some quick sprint cardio for 30 seconds, then jog for 1-2 minutes, then repeat for 20 mins or work up to longer if possible.
6) You can also buy a sweat suit that will make you hotter and pull a little water off of you.

There is a lot you can do. I haven't even started on dieting. But this is a start. The more you want it the more results you will see. Good luck

Oh yeah and in my avatar, I am flexing my rib cage and not my abs. I actually have a lot better abs than that. I just haven't quite figured out how to flex both at the same time without looking retarded.
