This is gonna be a great one, I can feel it. 73 was SUCH a letdown.

George St Pierre taking on Koscheck , thats gonna be great

Plus of course my boy, Randy "the natural" Couture defending his belt against Gabriel Gonzaga, who we all saw shock the world with that crushing head kick to Mircov Cro-cop.

I know Randy is gonna whoop that ass, he is the greatest fighter to ever step foot in the Octagon. Heart, skill, and determination, plus a ton of hard work.

Anybody feel me on this?

dude gonzaga and couture is gonna be a bad ass fight. can't wait to see it.

It will be as long as Couture isnt afraid to lose the belt. I'm not saying Gonzaga will win but I dont want to see another fight like that last title one where all they did was dance the whole time. Can't remember their names.

ya ,last one was dissapointing, think GSP avenging his last loss will come out and pound Koscheck and as much as i like and respect randy, kinda want to see a big man knock a smaller man out and bring back the big heavyweights, but i dont think that will happen as Randy is one of the smartest fighters and always has a plan for his opponent, so i think hell pull this one out again. i guess its hard to bet against captain america. hey swoll, who did you root for when tito and randy fought?

Should be a good one. I see this one going to decision for Randy.

GSP should finish fuzzy head in the 1st or 2nd. ;)

should be better than the last one....Id like to see randy take it.....and I dont think koscheck has a chance against gsp

Koscheck has way more than a chance, fellas, have yall forgotten what a monster that guy is in the clench and his wrestling skills? Hes got to be the most boring fighter Ive ever seen but his skill is undeniable. I give that fight to him, and Couture over Gonzaga.

Couture has NEVER been afraid to charge head first at anyone, this will not be a dance...

i hope the couture fight goes the distance. the gsp fight should be entertaining.

Eh koscheck is improving certainly.

Ultimatly though he has fought NO ONE on the level of GSP, as well as he has improved i dont think he is any match at all for GSP.

Couture gonzaga, hmmm no idea who to bet on for this, betting against randy is hard, but i just dont know

GSP is a great striker and master of Karate, lets just hope he doesnt get dominated by Koschecks groud game, which is incredibly good. Im rooting for GSP , dont get me wrong....I dont like Koscheck.

Gabriel Gonzaga seems to be a nice guy with great talent. But my respect for Randy Couture is amazing, he is 42 years old and holds the heavyweight belt in the UFC.

Fucking Tito Ortiz, I really used to like that guy, but after the last fight when he cheated by holding the fence when he knew Rashad was gonna take him down hard....that turned my stomach.

I quote him from after the match "If you aren't cheating, you aren't playing..."

That made me lose the last bit of respect I had for the guy. He has lost his warrior spirit.

ya ,i hear you on tito, but to his defense a lot of guys get caught grabbing the fence, he just made it worse by making the cheating comment.he doesnt need that kind of persona following him around.i know hes all about hype and marketing himself so a lot of the shit he says doesnt surprise me.

ya gonzaga definitly got a lucky kick in on crocop, think that rematch will go a lot different.but honestly that was one hell of a kick, he knocked crocop the fuck out.its something to see someone get knocked out and their limbs just flop all over the place, thought he broke his leg , the way he landed.

Should be interesting. I'm waiting for presale for September in Anaheim. Liddell back in the ring.

ya, liddells fighting jardine who got fucked up pretty fast in his last fight against newcomer(alexander), that dude was ripped up. think liddell will win that one and hopefully well see a rematch with rampage soon, although i think the result will be the same.

on a side note, id love for someone to throw some money towards tyson to get him in the cage, if he trained in some grappling/takedowns for a while, that would be one hell of a fight to watch, even if he is over the hill.i remember years back when royce was tapping guys out left and right that they wrote to him(tyson) a letter challeging him to a fight, not sure if it was for brother rickson , just remember it in black belt magazine, i dont think it was real serious back then as tyson was making shitloads of money that the ufc couldnt compete with, but im waiting for a famous top boxer to enter the octagon some day, hope it happens.

Why the hell is Liddell fighting Jardine? Jardine is not even in the same league...that was funny watching him take those uppercuts that knocked him off his feet in the air with each one.

I bet the guy lost some teeth with that beating.

Does anyone know the name of the dude that handed Jardine his ass?
He reminded me of a faster, version of Rampage. Thats who, Chuck should be fighting next.

houston alexander is the one who kicked jardines ass. my man was in awesome shape and had some fast hands. definitly seeing him and chuck fighting soon for a chance to fight rampage, but i think theyll each have 1 or 2 before that to give alexander some more exposure, i never even heard of the guy before that night. but i tell you i was impressed.

Trbowrx71

Well i have lost some respect for chuck.

Once silva was unavailable to fight he was given 4 opponents to choose to fight next

Jardine
Shogun
Kazuhiro Nakamura
Lyoto Machida

He chose to take the easiest fighter out of the bunch, i think if he is trying to prove he is truly a going to be a LHW threat he should have picked a higher caliber fighter then jardine.

Housten Alexander does not impress me, not yet. Ya he KO'D jardine pretty badly but, jardine was cocky as hell about that fight and didn't even think he should have to fight alexander, just because he knocked out jardine does not mean he is ready to fight guys like shogun rampage or liddell.

All you know about him is that he can knock guys out when he gets some really good clean shots in, we dont know anything else about him, we dont know his clinch ability, BJJ, wrestling, TDD, not a thing is known about him except that he ko'd jardine.

Little early for me to be impressed by him.

chuck has never been one of my favorite fighters but losing respect for him for fighting jardine seems a little extreme. hes not some young rising star needing to prove his worthyness, he was just the LHW champ.i do agree with you that jardine doesnt look like much of a challege to me and its hard to get excited about that fight.wouldve loved to seen the silva fight. your right about alexander, i know it was just one fight agianst jardine who supposedly overlooked this young fighter. But the condition in which he came to the cage and the way he unleashed those hands, he def. has some potental, i dont know if he has any ground game or what but im definitly going to be following him in his next few fights to see if hes the real deal.

Hey Swollass I agree with most everything you say. Randy's my all time fav too but this is NOT gonna easy for him....Gonzaga's so damn big and he has the skills to match, too. Still, I will be cheering for Randy like always. Also, GSP is really gonna have his hands full with Koscheck. I want to see GSP rebound to the top, but this one could definitely go either way. So 2 main events that are really intriguing...can't ask for much more than that. I also agree that UFC 73 was good but still disappointing considering all the hype it had. Also, the Guida-Aurelio and Grove-Cote fights could be pretty interesting, too. And of course UFC 75 looks awesome too and it'll be a freebie so that's an added plus as well!

GSP is a great striker and master of Karate, lets just hope he doesnt get dominated by Koschecks groud game, which is incredibly good. Im rooting for GSP , dont get me wrong....I dont like Koscheck.

Well, to a lot of the hardcore fans he does have something to prove, chuck being that great of a stiker has always been a big debate.

Espically after he was easily KO'd by rampage, to a lot of people that just proved there points, that he is not overall that great of a striker he just has good power and was consistently put up against guys were more of ground guys.

To a lot of hardcore fans, if he really wants to prove to everyone he is not losing his edge, and still a threat for the title, he should have picked a bit more formidable of a guy to fight other then jardine.

like ive said, ive never been a big fan of chuck, was waiting for him to get his ass handed to him after he was pretty much knocking everyone out. i agree the guys he was put up against were better groung fighters but they were far from being bad strikers.plus chuck is very good at keeping it at a stand up, he defends takedowns and sprawls excellent....To me tito is losing his edge, chuck just lost to a better fighter then he is and in a rematch will probably lose again, although he will definitly have a punchers chance.
